Crimson Senshi

Disclaimer: Cid Goldenfires does not own Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, or Magic Knights Rayearth. If he did, he would have Sailor Moon reincarnate him so he wouldn't be a ghost anymore.
Notes: This migth be somewhat AU, some characters may behave somewhat OOC as well. This world diverges from Sailor Moon cannon around the end of the Silver Millenium and is evil Pluto, except Pluto is long dead by the beggining of my story. As far as Ranma it takes place immediately after the end of the manga. As far as Magic Knights Rayearth, it's after the 1st time they went to Cephiro, they weren't re-summoned to deal with the new pillar issue, and it's been years since, so they've recovered emotionally. Later, once I've read Rayearth II I plan on having a side arc with the events of Rayearth II modified by the older Magic Knigths who are also senshi now, and bringing some of the senshi with them to help.
Serenity was about to send the senshi forward, into the future, to bring hope to it, but she hesitated, 'How did Beyrl's forces cause such incredible destruction? Where did she get the information needed to coordinate her attacks so perfectly? Could I have a traitor? No... It can't be... but I must check...'
What Serenity found horrified and disgusted her, Pluto had orchestrated the whole thing! She was planning on using the time gates to engineer some distant, perfect future she'd come up with, killing trillions just to achieve her disgusting goal of a utopia without free will.
"I don't have enough power to defeat Pluto and send the senshi forward... but their powers will still be needed... I will just make sure my power discovers a new worthy wielder who can choose new senshi then, I suppose." Serenity decided with finality.

"Wake up delinqient!"
"Huh?" Ranma's eyes blinked open as he caught the piece of chalk, 'That was a weird dream...'
Hinako glared, "It's only your first day back from summer vacation and you're already sleeping in class Saotome! I don't care if you just had a failed wedding with Miss Tendo, you _will_ stay awake and pay attention in my class, or else!" Hinako held up a coin threateningly
Not wanting to be drained Ranma sat up and chuckled nervously, "Sorry Hinako-sensei..."
"Good, now pay attention!" Hinako said, and she returned to lecturing on sentence structure.
Ranma began to tone out the lesson, it wasn't that interesting, and Ranma's English was already passable thanks to his travels. Instead, he focused on the strange dream he'd had, 'What a weird dream... It was like a memory... but of someone else... some queen lady whose magical kingdom was destroyed, when she was betrayed by some Pluto chick I think... man, those drugs oyaji and Mr. Tendo fed me to knock me out so they could put me in that Tuxedo must still be affecting me...'
"Saotome! Can you tell me what an adverb is?" Hinako demanded.
"Err..." Ranma panicked, "A type of sound effect?"
"That's a reverb!" Hiroshi said as most of the class sweat dropped.
"You weren't paying attention!" Hinako screeched, "Happo Fifty-Yen Satsu!"
Students nearby Ranma leapt out of the way as Ranma got drained and Hinako changed into her adult form. Ranma groaned, and then lost consciousness.
"Wake up!" Hinako yelled.
"Sensei, I think there is something wrong with him." Ukyo said, "He looks a bit off color."
Hinako frowned, Ranma _was_ looking a bit pale, "Hiroshi-san, take Saotome-san to the nurse's office."
"Um, he's a bit heavy for me..." Hiroshi said uncertainly.
"Fine then, have Daisuke-san help you." Hinako said, "But come right back once you drop Saotome-san off."
"Hai sensei!" the two boys saluted, one grabbing Ranma's feet and the other his arms, and carrying him out of the classroom.
"I could have done that on my own." Ukyo noted.
Akane growled, "I could have as well!"
"That's enough! This fiancée mess of Saotome-san's is exactly the reason I didn't have either of you carry him to the nurse's office! Now can anyone else tell me what an adverb is?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ranma was a bit confused at where he found himself, it appeared to be the palace where the 'dream' he'd had before had taken place, although it was no longer damaged as if it had been the sight of a great battle and strewn with bodies, instead, it was empty, except for the throne where sat the queen he'd been in the body of during the 'dream'.
Ranma checked himself and discovered he was himself, in his normal outfit of a red silk shirt and black kung fu pants.
"Hello Ranma."
Ranma looked up at the kindly voice, and realized it was the queen lady, "Um... hello..." he said, deciding to go along, unsure if he was dreaming.
"No, this is not a dream, although it is like one." the queen replied.
Ranma started, 'Is she reading my thoughts?'
"Yes, I am reading your thoughts." the woman replied with a chuckle.
"Who are you?" Ranma demanded, "What am I doing here?"
"I am Queen Serenity, of the Silver Millennium, a time which passed long ago, or more accurately, I am the remainder of Queen Serenity's spirit and intelligence, infused in a magical artifact I left behind, one which was used to create Jusenkyo by forces that couldn't control its power. I was forced to sneak the item into your spirit when you passed through the Jusendo water, because you were the only one who was pure of heart that had entered the waters of Jusendo in a long time. A great danger is coming, Beyrl, the dark Queen of the Earth, and her army of demons will soon be released from the negaverse prison I trapped them in, and will likely try to take over and enslave the peoples of earth, killing people and draining them of their life forces. Only the power of the artifact that you now hold within your spirit, the Legendary Silver Crystal, is enough to defeat Beyrl herself, and only powerful champions infused with celestial magical energies can perform attacks that can affect her forces." Serenity explained.
"So, you want me to use some magical item and fight off this Beyrl chick and her demon army?" Ranma asked.
"Well, yes, although I'd want you to find allies as well, and it's a bit more complicated than you think." Serenity replied.
Ranma groaned, "Why does it have to be so complicated?"
"The celestial energies I am referring to can only be wielded by women, and the Legendary Silver Crystal can only be used by someone with a complete bond with it, who has a pure heart, a strong will, and large potential for magical, spiritual, and life force energies. Originally, I was planning on using you as a temporary vessel to find a wielder for the Legendary Silver Crystal, and perhaps ask you to train her and her senshi, the guardians she would chose to invest with the celestial powers, to help them learn how to fight. Unfortunately, you are the only one I've found with the potential to wield the Legendary Silver Crystal.
"From your memories before you returned from China, I thought Tendo Kasumi might be a possible candidate, she seemed to be pure of heart, but after scanning her I discovered that her mind is filled with petty thoughts and her heart filled with bitter resentment, and she enjoys inflicting small cruelties on people when she gets and excuse, she is not pure of heart, and she also doesn't possess the magical potential needed.
"You're friend Kounji Ukyo is the only one in Tokyo who even comes close to the power requirements that has a pure heart, she'd make an excellent senshi, but she lacks the willpower and the spiritual energy to become the wielder of the Legendary Silver Crystal, and her potential for magic and life force energies are not as high as yours.
"From my scans, I can tell Tokyo, because of where it sits on the earth's current layout of ley lines, is the only place where Beyrl's forces can transport to from the Negaverse. Which means the senshi should be based here as well. My calculations and scans indicate she'll be able to escape the Negaverse in one month and begin sending small amounts of her forces to gather energy.
"There is no time for me to search out another wielder for the Ginsuzishou, and although it's unfair to ask you, I must beg of you to become it's wielder, even though you must permanently and truly, even in later reincarnations, give up your manhood to do so." Serenity explained.
"What?! You want me to give up my manhood?! You've got to find someone else lady!" Ranma said angrily.
"That's the problem! There _is_ nobody else." Serenity snapped, "My scans have covered over all of Japan and some of China so far, and you are the _only_ person, male or female, who meets the requirements. I've read your mind, I _know_ how much you value your manhood, I've looked into every other option I could think of. People with your potential are rare, _too_ rare. I might have been able to find and cultivate someone with the potential earlier, but I was trapped in the Dragon's Tap.
"Are you so selfish that you'd cling to your manhood and doom humanity?"
Ranma flinched, "What proof to you got that you're tellin' the truth, anyway?"
"I don't have proof, I could very well be tricking you. You have to trust me. But I know you can sense that I'm trustworthy, you're spiritual senses are strong enough for that." Serenity replied.
Ranma froze... it was true... he _could_ sense that Serenity was a good person, spirit, whatever.
"Ranma, this won't be without benefits." Serenity said, "You'll possess great power, and will slowly inherit my knowledge and wisdom, and the knowledge, wisdom, and power of my line. While I last, I'll help you forge a new identity, so you don't have to live with the unfair obligations of your current life. Bonding with the Ginsuzishou should change you significantly, to the point others might not be entirely sure you're the same person. It would even cure your neko-ken affliction. And I know you'd prefer being all girl than possessing a gender changing curse for the rest of your life, but only because of the current circumstances of your life and that you'd rather be a full man than a full woman keeps you from seeking the easy way out and going to China and getting Herb to lock you."
Ranma flinched guiltily, "You know, I really don't like this reading my mind bit."
"I didn't have much of a choice, I needed knowledge about the current state of the world, and because I'm in your spirit, you were the only one I could read clearly. My powers do not normally allow for mind reading, it's just that your mental defenses are practically nonexistent thanks to being focused on containing the neko-ken." Serenity explained.
"But... if I do this, I'd just be running away from my problems! That's the sort of thing oyaji would do... and everyone might think I'm dead!" Ranma said.
"Training trip." Serenity replied with a smirk, "You could say you're going on a training trip, and won't return until you've mastered the neko-ken and cured your Jusenkyo curse. Then you run off, I'll help you make sure you're not followed, and once you're alone, you'll do the bonding, and return, taking up a new identity. Perhaps you could occaionally set up hints as to where you currently have traveled to, make it to Nabiki, even though they would be fake, and send people on wild goose chases." Then she grew serious, "But it's not running away from your problems, it's leaving a hopeless situation in order to fulfill a greater duty, it _is_ a greater duty to save the world, and you're situation _is_ hopeless, no matter who you chose to marry, someone will be dishonored, and the others will try to get revenge on them and perhaps you and your family as well, if you don't chose, then the pointless battles will continue, probably even after someone gets hurt, and you'll be in the wrong for leading on all those girls.
"If you become a woman and chose a man, then your family will force you to commit seppuku. And don't try and deny that your female form is attracted to men, I've read your mind, remember?"
Ranma shuddered, "That's one of the worst parts of the curse."
"Besides, there will be another benefit or two." Serenity said, "You'll be able to cure the Jusenkyo curses of others rather easily, because once you've bonded with the Legendary Silver Crystal, it will be _you're_ power that is powering Jusenkyo, Saffron's immortality, and the powers of the Gekkaja and Kinjakan. You'll also be able to live a normal life, you can do you're abilities that are greater than normal humans while in a magical disguise, that even those who can sense auras or record images and voices won't be able to recognize. And the bonding with the Legendary Silver Crystal will heal your body and spirit, remove all the curses and other magics upon you, you'll be left scarless, practically immortal, with a life span in the thousands of years, immune to sickness, able to regenerate any injury that doesn't outright kill you so long as you have the energy, with eternal youth, you'll never get really old, even by the time you die of old age, you'll look no older than about 25, although your hair might turn silver over time, and incredible powers, able to reach your full potential. Just the healing, given the amount of damage to your body that has never fully healed, would more than make up for the differences in strength between your male and female forms."
"Wow..." Ranma replied, shocked by what he was being offered, "That's pretty tempting." he admitted.
"Yes, but you must make sure to not allow the power to get to your head, remember, with great power, comes great responsibility. There is a reason this power can only be trusted to someone who is pure of heart." Serenity told him.
"Am I really pure of heart? Am a I really worthy of this power?" Ranma asked.
"Yes, you are, you've turned out remarkably well given your upbringing and the tortures you face in your daily life. Most of your faults are more the result of habits ingrained by Genma's upbringing or your ignorance, and the rest can be easily overcome with proper guidance, which I can provide." Serenity replied, "Fortunately, a large part of your faults should be cured by the bonding with the Silver Crystal, since it grants you some instinctual knowledge and wisdom which has been passed down by my family line. Each wielder of the Legendary Silver Crystal has all their magical knowledge and wisdom duplicated into it, and in times of need the knowledge and wisdom can be accessed by the current wielder subconsciously, a large portion of this knowledge and wisdom will enter your subconscious during the initial bonding, it won't change your personality or instantly break any habits, but curing the neko-ken should cure some of your impulsiveness, which will allow you to take advantage of the greater empathy the Silver Crystal should grant you."
"Huh?" Ranma was a bit confused.
Serenity groaned, "It will make you a bit wiser and fix some of the problems the neko-ken causes even when you're not in it."
"Oh!" Ranma replied, "So... are you sure about this? You really think my life will be better? Won't some people be hurt by this?"
Serenity sighed, "Yes, I am pretty certain your life will be better, but some people will certainly be hurt by this, at least once they realize that the Ranma Saotome they know is gone for good. Hopefully, they'll have moved on with their lives by then. Perhaps the one who would be hurt the most is your mother. But she would honestly force you to commit seppuku over a contract you could not have honorably agreed to at that age if she considered you unmanly for some reason, and if she simply knew the full reality of the curse, that it affects your mind and spirit as well as your body, she would demand you commit seppuku, because of that, and because she does not love you unconditionally as her child, she is not worthy of being your mother."
"Hey, my mom-"
"No Ranma," Serenity interrupted, "you are still plagued by the delusions about honor and love your father taught you. You're mother is less stable mentally than Tatewaki Kuno, she is not a fit parent. She has, on numerous occasions, shown a blatant disregard for your life, caring more about her confused and hypocritical concepts of honor. There _is_ a reason your father is terrified of her. It's not a matter of _if_ she asks you to commit seppuku, it's _when_ she finds out the truths about your life somehow on accident and tells you to commit seppuku. Also, the suffering she would face under the reign of Beyrl would be far worse than the heartbreak of the loss of her son, especially since she didn't care much for your wellbeing in the first place."
Ranma's shoulders sagged, "I guess you're right... but that doesn't make it feel any better."
"Well, if it doesn't, the next part of my plan will. I assume you remember that old woman who snapped you out the neko-ken? The old shrine priestess?" Serenity asked.
Ranma nodded sadly, "Yeah, I miss her, she was really nice to me."
"Genma lied to you, she's still alive. He just wanted to prevent her from getting proof that he'd been abusing you to take to the authorities so that she could remove you from his custody. She was willing to adopt you and try to give you a better life than you've lived. I recognized her aura from your memories, and she's still alive and she is pure of heart, she also worked at a temple dedicated to the moon, which was my domain, I believe she would be the best person to help you set up your new identity. Her shrine isn't that far from here, only about an hour's travel with your speeds." Serenity replied, "I could help direct you to her shrine."
Ranma's eyes widened, "Yes... I've still got to thank her for taking care of me before... okay... I'll do it!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsukino Aiko sat across from the young man eating milk and cookies and smiled sadly at him, before looking down at the mythical artifact in her hands. If she hadn't heard it all from Serenity herself, and seen Ranma's curse, she might not have believed his stories.
"All right then, Ranma-kun, I will help you in this duty you've been chosen for. You will complete the bonding ritual with the Silver Crystal tonight, and I will help you get set up as your new self, legally, my adopted granddaughter, who I raised from a young girl. I have no heirs to pass on my priestess arts to, so I will teach you my skills.
"Fortunately, or unfortunately, I'm going to be loosing this temple, the building is too old and is starting to decay, and I don't have the money to re-build it. I was planning on selling it, and guiding the temple sprits with me to a new temple in Okayama, but I believe the prices in Nerima are much more acceptable. We'll stay here two weeks for you to get used to your new life and for some training, before it will be time to move, by then, your identity should be properly established."
"Thank you Tsunkino-dono." Ranma said, grinning slightly.
"Please, call me grandma." Aiko replied, her own face splitting into a gentle grin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsukino Ichigo smiled as she starred out of the window of the car as they approached Nerima. Her appearance was significantly different, yet quite the same. Her face was still mostly the same, she had the same bright red hair and eye colors. She was still very short, with a busty figure with all the right curves.
There was an obvious change in her hairstyle, her hair was now done up in twin buns held together with strips of triangular cloth set behind them like cat ears, with even, symmetrical bangs which left the front center of her forehead clear with a slight part to them. And her dress, she wore a miko uniform and was actually wearing proper girl's undergarments beneath.
But the bigger changes were more subtle, and overall gave her a very different presence and impression. While she wore no makeup, she had a natural beauty that made makeup unnecessary, that was present before, but now enhanced by her increased vibrancy and health, like a beautiful sculpture that had been dirty and chipped, but was now restored by a master. There wasn't a scar on her body, where before small scars had crisscrossed all over, from all sorts of training exercises and dangerous fights, she didn't have any calluses either, simply flawless skin. Her hair was now much straighter and silkier, naturally so, and remained short in all the right places so she'd never have to do anything like shave her legs or her armpits, or even the hair around her crotch to wear a skimpy bathing suit the hair just didn't grow longer in those places like a normal human, although it wouldn't be something someone would notice without studying her for a long time, she wouldn't even have to cut her hair, it magically maintained the right lengths, and grew only when it was needed because it had been cut accidentally, her nails also only grew when damaged, and would likely almost never need to be manicured. She no longer showed signs of malnutrition during youth or recent times, there was still a bit of baby fat left on her face and around her body, just the appropriate amount for a girl her age with muscles as developed as hers was, who was on a healthy diet, her body had just the right amount of normal fat as well, she was slim, but healthily so. She was actually a bit skinnier than before, because part of her bulk had been scar tissue built up from injuries and around debris that had been lodged in her muscles such as small bone fragments that had made her muscles a bit more bulky than they should have been, now her muscles were a bit stronger and bigger, but appeared a bit smaller because they were more condensed and better toned. Her skeleton had changed as well, there was no longer signs of numerous past breaks, yet it was denser and more stable than before, and slight defects had been repaired to allow for better posture, balance, protection and flexibility, she now had really perfect teeth. Her flawless skin was less pale from all the little scars, and had a healthy tan, without tan lines.
Her posture was now more feminine, more graceful, and a lot less catlike and tense. Her expression had a certain serene quality to it, combined with a bubbly happiness, an open honesty, and a look that projected kindness and friendliness, innocent and pure of heart. Where before she'd has the innocent and pure of heart look, combined with a certain ignorance, a cat-like awareness, and a focus of a highly trained martial artist, and a certain boyish quality to her expressions and posture which was now much harder to spot, and was only barely noticeable if you were really looking.
There were other physical changes as well, ones related to her senses that only she knew. While before she'd possessed rather sharp senses, good 20:20 vision and so on, all honed from years of martial arts experience and traveling in dangerous areas, as well as some of her father's more questionable training, her senses now were on the border of superhuman. Her sixth sense was now greatly enhanced, she could sense auras and various types energy, and distinguish them, much more clearly. Her vision was now nearly perfect, able to see much more clearly at a distance and close up than a normal human could and in much dimmer and brighter lighting possibilities, she could even see a bit outside of the normal visible light spectrum into the infrared and ultraviolet. Her hearing was also enhanced, she was able to hear much quieter sounds, yet able to not be deafened by much louder sounds either, and she could hear at much higher and lower pitches than before, she could pinpoint sounds much more easily, and her balance from her inner ear was a good bit better. Her sense of smell and taste was also enhanced and beyond that of a normal human, nothing was particularly unpleasant smelling or tasting to her unless it was dangerous, although things that smelled bad to normal humans still smelled bad to her, she could probably track something by smell as easily as your average wolf if she trained to take advantage of her new sense of smell. Her sense of touch was also greatly enhanced, she could sense subtle differences in temperature, pressure, and texture that she couldn't before, and her skin was naturally thicker and tougher and her nerves more resilient and all of it could heal better, so she could handle higher and lower temperatures or forms of damage, and no longer needed the calluses she'd possessed before.
Her aura was different too, the magic in it expertly hidden, but her aura was now almost un-naturally pure, lacking the taints from the neko-ken and various techniques that left taints and defects, such as emotionally channeled ki, neko-ken, various shiatsu attacks she's suffered like the full body cat's tongue and the ultimate strength moxibition, and various spiritual and magical attacks and curses she'd suffered. Now her aura shone brilliantly to those with the senses to detect it, brimming with more ki than Herb, all of it pure and naturally stable yet very little control placed on it, her spiritual energy and magical energy were much the same story, although the spiritual energy more control could be detected, and to those in the know, there was a stronger hint of divinity in her, which had been enhanced Ranma had some distant divine ancestry from his mother's side of the family.
But the biggest changes were mental, her primary personality no longer had the strong 'ghost personality' effects from the neko-ken and her previous male identity, although clues of it were still there, the male identity more than the neko-ken. She was no longer afraid of cats, her affection for them that Ranma had possessed before the neko-ken restored, and in fact the neko-ken personality and spiritual energy had been passed on to a cat now sitting in a basket in her lap, but that explanation comes a bit later. She still had a strong alignment to cats, both from having one as a companion and a natural one that Ranma had been born with, but those far exceeded the leftover effects from the neko-ken. Two weeks mostly filled with learning to live as a girl, full time, un-opposed, without reluctance, and spiritual training and meditation, with a bit less than normal martial arts training and no sparring partners or actual fights had a significant effect on her. She also was significantly affected by the behavior correction, guidance, and tutoring of Aiko and the peculiar talking cat in the basket. Another significant factor was the curing of brain damage caused by Ranma's training, the curing of various mental ailments and instabilities, the spiritual healing and increased spiritual stability and personal spiritual protection from outside effects, the stabilizing to proper, healthy hormone levels for a girl of her age while still taking into account her individuality and that she was naturally bisexual with a preference for men, and a certain rounding of edges caused by the bonding with the Ginsusizhou. Perhaps the smallest key factor was the subconsciously implanted energy manipulation (magical, spiritual, life, and divine) abilities and pre-programmed senshi magics and style that she could subconsciously access, and the subconsciously implanted natural wisdom and interpersonal skills, which slowly increased every night as she slept, or could be imprinted upon her instantly in times of need, it wasn't things that were going to directly change her personality, but they still allowed her to act with greater wisdom and maturity and helped her behave to a certain degree like a princess or queen.
Ichigo's cat was called Luna, previously a normal black cat with yellow eyes and a higher intelligence and magical potential than the average cat, and named Tsukikuro, the cat now had cuter, more youthful looks, blue eyes, and a silvery bald spot on it's forehead shaped like a crescent. Luna was a fusion of the neko-ken, Tsukikuro, and the leftover spirit and knowledge of the last Serenity that had been guiding the Ginsizishou to find a proper wielder, with magically enhanced abilities, she could talk, perform a degree of useful magic, and had the abilities of a sort of magical cat advisors that one of the first Serenities had once created to serve the royal family and senshi, only with two additional abilities, she could temporarily take the form of the last Serenity, and she could take a combat form of a large panther meant for channeling the neko-ken abilities. She'd named herself Luna after the previous Serenity's most trusted advisor, a black talking cat with very similar looks to those this new fusion created being possessed. Luna's personality was still predominantly that of Tsukikuro, just with greater intelligence and memories.
Ichigo's cover story was that she was an orphan that Aiko had found as a baby in a dumpster, and had been raised by her at the shrine, and that Ichigo had been at a friend's shrine receiving additional training when Ranma and Genma had stopped at the old Tsukino shrine, much of the property of which was now in a trailer attached to the back of the car they were in. She'd been predominantly home-schooled, and had just taken the tests to qualify for high school and would be entering as a freshmen. Ranma had skipped grades, despite his laziness when it came to school, due to natural genius that was hard to hide, even with his general ignorance and poor upbringing, Genma was also trying to hide the fact that Ranma was over a year younger than Akane and not really old enough to get married, he'd never celebrated birthdays with Ranma, and Ichigo had only found out her birthday was June 30th and she was still only 15, having met Akane while Akane was 16 and Ranma was 14. Aiko wanted Ichigo to have a good school record for college, and insisted on her starting as a freshmen and trying to get good grades and expand her general knowledge. The deal they'd made was that Ichigo would get allowance, but only if she remained a straight A's student and studied hard. To keep from later senshi duties from interfering with school, Aiko would pretend to have slightly failing health, and Luna or Aiko would call Ichigo on her new cell phone whenever she needed to get out of class to 'visit and care for a sick' Aiko, a sickly grandmother was also a good excuse to occasionally turn in assignments late or miss classes. Aiko was even skilled enough spiritually to project a false sickly aura that would fool Dr. Tofu.
"We're here Ichigo-chan." Aiko said as the car pulled to a stop.
"Great! Looks like a nice shrine, a bit of a fixer upper, but we should be able to do it! Right Luna?" Ichigo asked.
"Meow!" Luna agreed awkwardly, eyeing the man doing the moving and who'd driven them there in his car.
"Thank you Masato-kun." Aiko said, patting his arm.
"It's no trouble Tsukino-dono!" the man replied with a chuckle as he opened the back of the trailer, "Ken-kun told me they turned on the water, gas, and electricity last night, the place should be live-able tonight with little work. So Ichigo-chan can start school tomorrow."
"I'm so excited! I've never been to a normal school before and I can't wait to make some friends!" Ichigo said, technically it was true, neither of the schools Ranma had been to could be called normal, too bad she was still going to be going to Furinkan, but Luna had said she'd sensed three possible senshi candidates in the freshmen class, which combined with Ukyo in the junior class now, would make 4 potential senshi which could all be at Furinkan and help out fighting bad guys.
That was enough to fill out the inner senshi of Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter. There was technically an earth position, but the Ginsuzishou didn't control it, and the last possessor of the artifact the Golden Crystal which helped the Earth Senshi had been a man engaged to Beyrl who died in one of the final battles of the Silver Millenium. Ichigo had already teleported to the moon to retrieve the Golden Crystal so that Beyrl wouldn't be able to get her hands on it, along with a number of other Silver Millennium artifacts. Teleporting was perhaps one of Ichigo's most draining and difficult skills, and she'd been left exhausted after each trip, luckily her enhanced metabolism had allowed her to recover energy quickly with some extra food and short naps. Ichigo's own position was technically a combination of Sailor Sol and Sailor Moon, but she would be going as Sailor Moon or the Silver Princess when in her senshi guise.
Aiko chuckled at Ichigo's enthusiasm, she found it hard to tell sometimes when Ichigo was acting. Ichigo had difficulty outright lying, but it was nearly impossible to tell when she was bending the truth or hiding something. She was a bit more energetic and dramatic than Ranma had seemed, but it was hard to tell exactly the extent of the changes Ranma had gone through in becoming Ichigo, especially since Aiko hadn't known Ranma all that well.
"Ichigo-chan, you help Masato-kun bring in the things. I know you've got more than enough strength from your devil hunting training. Put that super strength of yours to use!" Aiko commanded.
"Yes Aiko-obaachan!" Ichigo replied with a mock salute, she ran over to the back of the trailer and plucked out the heavy couch like it weighed about as much as a backpack, and proceeded to follow a somewhat dumbstruck Masato inside.
"Martial artists..." Masato muttered under his breath with annoyance, shaking his head.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good morning class!" the freshmen class 2-B teacher, Nakamura-sensei said, "This morning I'd like to welcome a new student. You can come in Tsukino-san."
Ichigo entered the room.
In the back of the room, two girls gasped, and looked between the new girl and a girl in the front row with her hair in a long pigtail. Their looks were practically identical.
"She looks almost exactly like Hikaru-chan, just with a different hairstyle." a girl with blue hair muttered to the blonde haired one.
"I know, I wonder if they're related." the blond replied.
Hikaru, the look-alike in question, had a surprised, inquisitive expression on her face, and had suddenly, to anyone with strong spiritual senses, sprouted cat ears and a tail.
"Why don't you introduce yourself Tsukino-san." Nakamura-sensei said.
"Hai Nakamura-sensei." Ichigo nodded, she turned to the class and bowed, "Hi, my name is Tsukino Ichigo, I'm a miko in training from the Tsukino shrine which recently moved here to Nerima. I've been mostly home schooled so this is my first time in a normal class. I hope I can make some friends here."
"Very good," Nakamura-sensei said, "Although, I have a question, might you be related to Shidou-san here? You both look identical."
Ichigo looked up in start, and she and Hikaru made eye contact, Ichigo hesitated for a few moments then shook her head, "Not that I know of. Aiko-obaachan found me in a dumpster as a baby and adopted me." she said with some embarrassment.
"Oh how horrible, who would put a baby in a dumpster!" one of the girls in class exclaimed. There were general murmurs of agreement and sympathy.
"Well, since you're so short, you might as well sit in the front next to Shidou-san, since there is a seat available there. I just hope I don't confuse you two." Nakamura-sensei muttered, he frowned in thought, "Come to think of it, you both look suspiciously like onna-teki Saotome-kun. Are you of any relation to the Saotomes Shidou-san?"
Hikaru frowned, "I think I had an older cousin named Nodoka who married a man named Saotome Genma, but she was disowned from the family because Genma-san was very dishonorable."
Ichigo and Nakamura-sensei both seat dropped.
"I guess you _are_ related to Saotome-kun. Good thing Saotome-kun isn't around, on some sort of training trip since the beginning of the year I heard. Saotome-kun's parents are Nodoka and Genma Saotome." Nakamura-sensei explained, "Saotome-kun is one of our more troublesome students, he's got a magical curse that turns him into a girl when splashed with cold water and back with hot water. I doubt any of you believe me, but stick around Nerima long enough and you'll start to believe in anything." he muttered.
Nakamura-sensei had been Ranma's math teacher the year before, he hadn't had him for homeroom however.
"Come to think of it, I should probably get an idea ahead of time for this. Any students who are trained in the martial arts or some other form of combat, raise your hands." Nakamura-sensei said.
Nearly half the class raised their hands, including the girls who'd commented on Ichigo and Hikaru looking alike and Hikaru and Ichigo.
"Is anyone here engaged to Saotome-kun." he added.
One girl in the back of the class who'd been raising her hand before, kept her hand raised.
Most of the class starred.
"He was engaged to me in exchange for 2 deluxe martial arts camping backpacks and weighted training suits for Ranma-kun. My family runs a martial arts equipment boutique in Narita. How did you know sensei? Is Ranma-kun looking for me?" the girl blushed.
"Sorry Fujiwara-san, I'm not the best person to explain this, you should speak with Tendo Nabiki in the senior class." Nakamura-sensei said with a sigh.
Ichigo was resisting letting her eyebrow begin to twitch, 'Damn you oyaji...' she thought.
"Let's get to work!" Nakamura-sensei suddenly announced, and began his lecture about what they would be doing that day.
...
Ichigo yawned and stretched as she got up, with class finally over for lunch, "Finally! Lunchtime! I'm starving!"
"Tsukino-san, want to eat lunch with us?" Hikaru asked hesitantly, "I'm Shidou Hikaru, and these are my best friends, Ryuzaki Umi and Hooji Fuu."
"That would be great! It's nice to meet you." Ichigo replied with a smile, beaming, 'Maybe I can make some real friends, unlike those perverts Hiroshi and Daisuke and Ukyo who cared more about being a fiancee.'
The four girls traveled outside to some picnic tables under some palm trees the insane principal had put there.
"So, what is this school like?" Ichigo asked.
"It's kind of strange." Umi said, scowling, "I've seen the principal going around, and he wears a bonzai palm tree on his head and speaks in a fake hawaiian accent, I heard that he is crazy."
"His son is pretty crazy too." Hikaru admitted nervously, "Kuno-sempai mistook me for some girl he likes earlier and tried to attack me for a date. Luckily Tendo Akane-san saved me and explained that I wasn't 'the pigtailed girl' that he knew, and pointed out ways to tell me apart from her, apparently there is a girl around here with a shorter pigtail than mine who is also a really muscular martial artist. I wonder if she's that cursed cousin of mine Nakamura-sensei mentioned."
"You don't actually think they are really cursed, do you?" Fuu asked worriedly.
"Yeah, this place is crazy, but it's not _that_ crazy, is it?" Umi added.
"Well, what's a couple crazies anyway?" Ichigo shrugged, "Although, something about this place does feel a bit off to my 6th sense. There is an unusually high concentration of people who have strong ki and/or reiki here." she added as an afterthought.
"Wow, you have a really strong sixth sense?" Umi asked.
"Yes, I can sense auras pretty well. Aiko-obaachan says I've got very great psychic powers and ki abilities, I've been trained since I was really little at various shrines to master my potential." Ichigo replied.
"Could you read our auras?" Fuu asked.
Ichigo nodded, "Lets see, of the three of you, Hikaru-chan has the strongest aura, both spiritually and ki wise, her aura reminds me of cats and fire, which she seems to be spiritually aligned to, I think she might also have some strong psychic abilities, perhaps some sort of empathic communication ability."
"She can talk to animals." Umi said, looking impressed with Ichigo's detections, "What about me?"
"Well, you've got very strong ki, and above average reiki and I think a water element. You also might have draconic ancestry, because you're aura reminds me of someone who was part dragon I once encountered, it would explain why you can have blue hair, Umi-chan." Ichigo replied.
"Cool!" Umi said, "What about Fuu-chan?"
Ichigo turned towards Fuu, "Um... Fuu-chan... you've got very strong reiki, and above average ki, you're aura is very gentle, with a wind element, and you seem to be aligned with some sort of bird, since you're aura is somewhat bird-like."
"You're very good at this." Fuu said, "You must have had some really good teachers."
"I've got lost of talent too!" Ichigo said proudly puffing up with pride, "I've got more energy than anyone else at this school that I've sensed so far! Both ki and reiki! Well, unless someone knows how to suppress their aura..." she added as an afterthought, "And I've been trained in devil hunter techniques, I can even use and create working spirit wards and use a ki blast and use my ki to fly for a short while." she bragged.
"Really?" Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu asked, shocked.
Ichigo smirked, then she held out her hands in front of her and concentrated, after a few moments, a glowing white ball formed between her hands. The other girls gasped.
"That _is_ ki!" Hikaru exclaimed, "Wow! I've only heard about people being able to do that in legends! My brothers taught me to make a battle aura, but that's about it for me."
"Maybe when I get better at it I can teach you." Ichigo replied as she let the ki ball dissipate.
Ichigo had learned, with some difficulty, to use pure ki, and only pure ki, the Silver Crystal blocked her from using techniques that would cost more energy to recover her aura's health from than the technique itself cost, which blocked her from using the soul of ice and moukou takabisha, or even her regular old battle auras or the umi-sen-ken's techniques. To make up for it, Ichigo had managed to learn to use a pure battle aura (which wasn't 'hot' or 'cold' so the Hiryuu Shoten Ha and it's variants couldn't be used against her), a pure ki blast (which wasn't light or heavy, and was a bit more potent than emotionally channeled ki, but required more focus and training to manifest), how to suppress her aura for stealth, and even Herb's spirit flight trick, with her increased ki reserves thanks to the benefits of the healing and bonding with the Ginsuzishou.
"I guess what they say about this place might be right. All the best martial artists usually come here." Umi said.
"Well, I'm more of a miko in training and a gymnast than a martial artist. I don't really want to fight anyone, except if I have to." Ichigo said, "Although I wouldn't mind a bit of sparring with someone who is good." she had by now taken out her lunch.
"Ooh! What a cute bento!" Fuu exclaimed.
"Did your grandmother make that?" Umi asked.
Ichigo shook her head, "Nope! I made it myself!" she said proudly.
"Wow, is there _anything_ you can't do?" Hikaru asked, her eyes sparkling.
Ichigo frowned in thought, "Well, I'm really terrible at poker."
The girls all broke out into giggles at that.
"So you just moved into the area?" Hikaru asked.
"Uh huh!" Ichigo nodded between bites, "The old shrine was falling apart and Aiko-obaachan couldn't afford to fix it, but there was an abandoned shrine here that wasn't in as bad of shape and the property was really cheap. Some kind of temple of the ghost cat, but the ghost cat apparently left, so the shrine guardian did as well and sold the place."
"Weird." Umi said.
"I know! How about we come see your new place! I haven't been to a shrine in a while!" Fuu said.
"Only if you're willing to work a bit!" Ichigo replied, waving her chopsticks, "We just moved in yesterday, and we're still cleaning the place up. I've got to go straight home and start working on it right away. But I'll make you all some snacks if you come and help out!"
"I'll have to ask my brothers, but I'm sure they'll agree." Hikaru replied happily, "We'd love to help you move in."
"Uhg... did we just agree to work?" Umi asked.
"If you don't want to help, you don't have to come." Fuu pointed out, "But don't you think it might be fun? Maybe you could even buy some good luck charms."
"Heh! Yeah, that's a good idea." Umi agreed.
"I'll make you all some for free if you come and help out!" Ichigo told them.
"Great! We will then!" Umi replied.
...
"Umi-chan, Fuu-chan, Hikaru-chan, this is Aiko-obaachan! Aiko-obaachan, these are my new friends, they came to help out cleaning up the shrine in exchange for some of my cooking and good luck charms!" Ichigo said.
"That's wonderful!" Aiko said.
"I'm Shidou Hikaru!"
"Ryuzaki Umi."
"Hooji Fuu, it's a pleasure to meet you Tsukino-dono."
"The pleasure is all mine." Aiko replied, "I was able to finish the kitchen and my bedroom on my own today, so you can all start on the bathroom and the living room, Ichigo-chan should be able to cover her own bedroom. But I must say, Hikaru-chan looks almost exactly like Ichigo-chan!"
"I know!" Fuu said, "And we found out one of Hikaru-chan's cousins also goes to Furinkan as well someone named Saotome, they're also supposed to look alike."
"Really?" Aiko asked with a small smirk, "Why, I've met a boy named Saotome Ranma before." she got a sad look, "The boy has a terrible father. When I met him, Ichigo-chan was off training at another shrine. He came to me acting exactly like a cat, and covered with bloody scratches, half-naked in a shredded martial arts gi. Once I calmed him down, he behaved human again and I managed to get him to tell me what had happened as I was treating his injuries. Apparently his bastard of a father, Saotome Genma, was training him in some obscure forbidden martial art called the neko-ken, the boy was only 8 years old at the time, but his father was tying him up and throwing him, covered in fish sausages, into a pit of starving cats and then covering it with a lid, leaving him in there for an hour every day, until he'd finally snapped, unable to deal with the fear that had developed. I didn't even get to treat the poor boy for more than his injuries before the father kidnapped him again." she said sadly.
"How horrible!" Hikaru gasped.
Umi and Fuu looked sick from the description.
"If you ever do see him, send him here." Aiko said, "But lets not dwell on such things and get to work!"
...
"Wow, even though I'm exhausted, that was worth it for your cookies Ichigo-chan!" Umi said.
"Ehehehe..." Ichigo laughed blushing in embarrassment, "Well, I was taught by some really good cooks."
"Yes, I've been trying hard to make sure Ichigo-chan always learns from the best." Aiko said with a humored, knowing smile.
"I bet the shrine will be really beautiful soon." Hikaru said, "We'll have to come back here when you've finished fixing it up."
"I'll invite you all over again then, once it's ready for public visitation." Ichigo replied.
End Notes: Please forgive any writing mistakes and give your editing and advice.
Also note that this is only the beggining and Ranma, while it seems like he might have given in too easily, was partly compelled with magic. Serenity did some major manipulation of Ranma to get him to agree, even if most of what she said was true, was also using her powers to manipulate Ranma's decision, because she was desperate. Later, Ranma will find out, and recover some of her old male personal and have a major falling out with Luna, until she realizes that Luna isn't really Serenity anymore because of the fusion.
There are reasons I'm placing this in the Ranma 1/2 universe. I plan to involve various Ranma 1/2 characters, and have the hunt for Ranma cause problems for Hikaru and Ichigo. I also plan on the truth eventually being discovered about Ichigo, that she used to be Ranma, and the whole bucketload of trouble that will cause.
If anyone has any reccomendations for additioal crossovers, please give them. I was thinking of Inu Yasha, having Kagome become a senshi, but I haven't read enough of Inu Yasha to portray things accurately. Fruits Basket girls are another possibility, but again, I haven't seen the whole anime of that.
I _do_ want the girls who take the additional senshi positions to be familiar with the supernatural to some degree, and at least excuseably 'pure of heart'.
So far it's:
Ranma/Ichigo: Sailor Moon
Kuno: Moonlight Knight (he doesn't have the powers of prince Endymion or Tuxedo Mask because he doesn't get the Golden Crysta, but he is the reincarnation of prince Endymionl)
Hikaru: Sailor Mars
Umi: Sailor Neptune
Fuu: Sailor Earth
Ukyo: Sailor Jupiter
And I was also thinking perhaps:
Kagome(InuYasha: Sailor Pluto
Konoka Konoe (Magister: Negi Magi): Sailor Saturn
Setsuna Sakurazaki (Magister: Negi Magi): Sailor Uranus
Saki Hanajima (Fruits Basket): Sailor Mercury

This sounds like it could be interesting however the long description of Ranma was very difficult to get through.
Perhaps you could shorten it slightly or have some of the description not added until later - make us figure out exactly how Ranma has changed as we read? At the very least I would break it into shorter paragraphs.

Two things:
1. Ranma changed too fast, you basically Deus ex Ranma out of the story entirely, and replaced with an OC
2. The only think left of Ranma is trace amounts, the cover story would explain better then Ranma's actual life as to the current skills.
I recommend either a heavy character rewrite, make is so more of it is an act, or drop ranma entirely.
Sorry to be harsh but at the moment I see no reason to use him at all given Ichigo's personality.
however, if you drop the names and character origins you have what is a nice start to an original fiction.
Storm trooper effect works against good guys as well.

I like the writing, but there are some fairly long running paragraphs which should proberly be broken down.
I don't understand why you had Ranma being mostly attracted to males though bisexual, even with his curse he's been attracted to females normally and an entire life of being taught to be attracted to females wouldn't be overcome so easily. That stood out as a big part, but Ranma has been changed into a completely different character really and it only took a short time.
As for crossovers, i'd suggest not to add too many more animes or people will lose who is coming from where and they're likely to have not seen something you've put in. You suggest Mahou Sensei Negima (Magister: Negi Magi as you've put it) for another, which'd be a good idea since it has so many characters to choose from. I'd proberly suggest Nodoka Miyazaki for Sailor Saturn since they're both quite withdrawn and fairly intelligent, Yue Ayase for Sailor Mercury for the intellect that goes with it, either Chao/Zazie/Evangeline for Pluto since they're all quite mysterious and amusingly enough in Chao's case her interest is listed as world domination but she dislikes war.

Looks like it'll be an interesting story, but why not just ditch Ranma as a whole and either use an original character, or one that's something like the one you're writing? You've basically canned everything about Ranma other than his combat ability, while at the same time turbocharging that.

This looks way too much like an Uber Ranma fic, without Ranma. Instead you have replaced Ranma with Mary Sue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Sue.
Ditch the overlong description of "Ichigo sue" and develop the character by showing us through story elements and scenes. Describe her as she appears to the class, show her abilities as they come into play.
More importantly, show us how this character is still Ranma. Otherwise it becomes a Sailor Moon/MKR crossover set in Nerima. With an OC/Mary Sue as the main character
Remember: Show don't tell.

Ranma changes very fast and there would better be hints as to why (the magical nudges).
Having Ranma change sexual orientation from preferring females to preferring males makes little sense. Maybe manipulations by that evil witch Serenity wanting her line to last? ;)
If Ranma learned some wisdom then having her bragging about her abilities on the first school day seems very hard to understand. What does she want - to alienate people and feel superior to them?

First of all, I _did_ leave some hints as to the origional Ranma. That was part of the bragging, something Ranma tends to do. I admit those paragraphs were a bit overlong, but Ranma didn't change as much as you guys seem to think.
I think you're right that I'll need to tone down the 'mary sue-ness' it's just a little hard with the implications I've picked up about the Ginsuzishou from what I know about Sailor Moon. More of Ranma's personality I plan to have shine through as Ichigo encounters more characters she knew as Ranma.
Ichigo liking guys doesn't have anything to do with mind control. I've _never_ seen in the manga, onna-Ranma showing some sort of reaction that indicates she likes girls, but I've seen a number of ones that indicate she might like guys.
During the ice skating arc, when Sanezin steals onna-Ranma's first kiss, she is shocked and then upset, running away crying, but as soon as Ranma transforms, he's furious and disgusted, it's a very sudden emotional change. Onna-Ranma reacts with shock at first when the students imply during the cheerleeding arc that onna-Ranma was declaring her love for Akane all along, and that they were involved with one another as girls, but then immediately denies it as if disgusted, without blushing, giving himself away like otoko-Ranma did at the end of the switch to Nabiki arc. At the end of the master/student pill arc, onna-Ranma doesn't react at all to running into a room full of changing girls, but when she bursts through the wall to the guy's changing room, her eyes are wide and she stares at the guys. During the Picolet Chardin arc, there were a number of moments where onna-Ranma seemed to like Picolet and think he's handsome, even when there was nobody around to fool, like at the end of the arc after he leaves and she's talking with Akane, only to suddenly be disgusted when reminded of his huge mouth and tongue. Onna-Ranma is shown to shamelessly flirt with guys during the mirror clone arc, when she tries to teach the mirror clone proper ways to pick up guys. During the paper doll arc, _otoko-Ranma_ seemed geniuinely happy to go on a date with Gosunkugi, and was only angry, rather than disgusted and angry, afterwards, whereas Akane looked slightly drugged when she said she didn't hate Gosunkugi. Finally, even under duress, Ranma goes on more 'dates' with guys, such as Kuno, as onna-Ranma than as a guy with the fiancees.
If you can give me evidence to the contrary, such as links to manga pages where _onna-Ranma_ not otoko-Ranma, (who obviously likes girls, given his reaction to the naked Akane in the very beggining and his reacttions to Shampoo on occasion) seems to be attracted to girls, then I might admit otherwise. But as far as I can tell, both Ranma's forms in _cannon_ the manga source, are bisexual with straight preferences. And there is little grounds for arguing Ranma's mind and spirit is the same in both forms, Herb proves that your spirit is different because his ki attacks work differently in female form, indicating his ki is different, and I've seen too many times where Ranma reacts differently in female form to male form and a change of gender changes Ranma's attitude or emotions without a reason to act like a girl.
In short, otoko-Ranma having the same mind and spirit as onna-Ranma is _fannon_, and unless you can show me otherwise, I will ignore your arguments about what onna-Ranma's actual behavior is, in favor of my own observations.
You should remember that in most cases when meeting new people, Ranma tends to be a bit shy and polite, and geniunely friendly and kind. Just look at onna-Ranma's reaction to the Tendos and Akane in the beggining!
Anyways, I might have to do something about all those paragraphs about the changes. They're implying a greater degree of change than really happened, and making you think I've totally re-written Ranma's character. The changes are _much_ more subtle than that. And this _is_ a somewhat 'uber Ranma fic' but only along the lines that Sailor Moon is so ridiculously powerful he can't be otherwise. I'm actually planning on powering _down_ Sailor Moon's abilities for Ranma, no reality re-writing or brining people back to life for you! And without the magic, Ichigo isn't as much stronger than Ranma as you guys seem to think, she has more ki, and can do Herb's flight trick, but her ki blasts are actually weaker (she can't control the pure ki as well as Ranma could the confidence ki, but I'll show that later) and the Silver Crystal prevents her from using a lot of her old abilities, including the amaguriken which in this multiverse works like the initial gate in Naruto, opening the body's limits but causing damage by overworking the body, the umi-sen-ken stealth techniques, or even the soul of ice for Ranma's favorite hiryuu shoten ha. And you're right about the show not-tell, I should probably delete most of that, and slowly show stuff, through parts of the story, rather than tell it all straight away.
I'm going to wait for some more comments however before I get to editing. Because too many of them seem to be too influenced by disliking my take on cannon and trying to project fannon views on me.

Some technical notes: try not to use the same word too much in a sentence (see the disgusted/disgusting in the second paragraph) and check the difference between your and you're.
As for the fic ... well, I stopped during the listing of Ranma's differences, and with only a page or so more to go, it was just too much for me. Before then, I thought the discussion with Queen Serenity was overlong, plus Ranma really should want to take some time to think about this.

I definately think you should actually show the 'escape' and the two weeks between the escape and the return.
This will show ranma outside of the public and show how 'she' is acting true to herself. I also recommend making Ranma dislike cats in general, but making exceptions for normal cats. It is normal for people to dislike or distrust a species of animal, except the ones they know. (I have a mild fear of dogs if they are out of sight of their owner (meaning not on a leash) yet I am a dog owner, or rather my mother is, and I have no fear at all of that dog.) (If you already did this I missed it)
I recommend leaving Ranma the pig of an eater that she was, giving Ranma manners is OOC for Ranma and Usagi, so giving her good manners is a bad idea imo (you could play with this a bit, many authors do)
As to the 'gates' I wouldn't clump everything together and say 'the gates were sealed. I agree with the idea but it needs to be explained how these need the 'gates', Amaguriken pushed the arms past physical restraints, Moku Takabasha, causes a dangerous buildup in emotions and the crystal put a filter on that (possibly lied to Ranma about it, etc..), Hiru Shotenha, can be disabled with the soul of Ice being caped for similar reason.
The key thing here that you are missing that would really show that it is Ranma is have more interaction with people, and more Ranma like behavior, like fence walking and the crystal reminding her not to do it.
Storm trooper effect works against good guys as well.

Emotional change doesn't mean sexual preference change, in both forms she didn't like it as evidenced by both the reactions. With different emotions she's showing her displeasure in different ways, so using an example of a guy kissing Ranma and him (or her at the time) hating it isn't a good example.
Nekomata-sensei wrote:Onna-Ranma reacts with shock at first when the students imply during the cheerleeding arc that onna-Ranma was declaring her love for Akane all along, and that they were involved with one another as girls, but then immediately denies it as if disgusted, without blushing, giving himself away like otoko-Ranma did at the end of the switch to Nabiki arc.

Again, not a good example. He's sixteen and has grown up with Genma as his only role-model and constant contact in the world, he doesn't seem the type to be open minded and would proberly think of any two girls/two guys together in disgust if it included him as one of them. Especially since he's been turned into another form to do it.
Nekomata-sensei wrote:At the end of the master/student pill arc, onna-Ranma doesn't react at all to running into a room full of changing girls, but when she bursts through the wall to the guy's changing room, her eyes are wide and she stares at the guys.

I'm fairly certain i've seen someone else counter and disprove this in another arguement, I can't remember it myself so i'll leave it.

I may be forgetting something, but all I remember is the disgust parts.
Nekomata-sensei wrote:Finally, even under duress, Ranma goes on more 'dates' with guys, such as Kuno, as onna-Ranma than as a guy with the fiancees.

Aren't most of his dates due to some scheme/way for him to get something? Wishing sword for example.

Could reference the constant beating of Kuno whenever he tried to touch girl-type as a not liking guys, but that's Kuno so it's to be expected.
I've not actually seen it myself, but reading a transcript of the Saffron part while Akane is a doll and Ranma is begging her to come back and everything, she's in girl-type. It doesn't mention him changing back for when he confessed his love, but i'd need to actually see the chapter to be sure. This at least shows that he still loves Akane (or at least thinks so) while he's in his girl form.
Pretty much most of the attracted to guys points seem to be countered or at least a leap to believe though, it could just mean he's not attracted to girls either in girl-type or isn't comfortable showing it.

Y'know, Sailor Moon isn't actually that powerful.
She's often the only person who can take down a monster, only because she's the only one with purifying powers. Her attacks all require her little dance apart from Moon Tiara Action while the rest of the senshi have relatively short charge times and she's only ever been able to access powers like resurection in times of great need and never at will. Queen Serenity's use of the silver crystal did kill her as well.

Eden B, don't just claim others have argued something for you or base arguments off vauge memories.
Use pics from Ranma scanslations to support your arguments if you have any. Also, I asked for proof that onna-Ranma has been attracted to girls, not that all the instances of her being 'attracted' to guys be explained away as under some form of compulsion, doing some sort of trick, or under some sort of duress.
I reccomend you re-read the manga, here is a place you can do it and link to for your proofs:

One problem is that Ranma is borderline Mary-Sue/Marty-Stu even in canon (with the obvious social problems being added in to balance it out), and it's very easy to go that little bit further in fanon. To sort out the instant Mary-Sue effect, I share the "show the time inbetween" sentiment.
The impression I get from the chapter is that Ranma is just following a planned path in terms of the story. There's barely any conflict or problems for Ranma, and you've skipped said possible conflict (for example, first meeting Aiko Tsukino).
However, you say in the notes that Ranma has been magically influenced by Serenity and it'll be sorted out later in the story, which, while promising, creates its own problems. The first chapter of a fic is a hook, so it has to catch peoples' attention quickly (which is fine here) and not give them a good excuse to give up reading it (which isn't fine). The reason it doesn't work here I feel is because - not counting the AN - you show every intention of making Ranma-Sue a permanent part of the story. You dwell on her looks and abilities way too much in the description in particular.
Really I think the key here is not only to show the intermediate events, but to show that something isn't quite right during this time, with events that hint at Ranma being brainwashed. Otherwise readers will basically think that this finished version of "Ichigo" is going to be around for the whole story, have zero conflict she can't fix instantly with no trouble, and turn the story into one that just goes through the motions rather than engaging the reader.
If you need a way to stop Ranma being a de facto goddess, you could go the old SM route where the power has levels that increase every so often, or that the Ginsuishou requires time (months, maybe even years) to integrate with her. The problem of having someone that just kicks ass and takes names will always be there though, since you're powering up someone that does that already even in canon.
In summary: Like the premise, like the ideas for future chapters, the in-between turns me off.

Okay, you're right, this needs a major re-write. I guess I was getting a bit too impatient with the story. It's hard for me not to go overboard with some things I suppose. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I get these pictures in my head that I want to portray, and a fool myself into skipping the important parts that make it a good story and bait the reader.
Thanks for the good advice, especially B'man's advice has cleared things out for me to understand what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. I'll see if I can get this fixed by the end of today.
