Thanks! My avatar was done for the anniversary of another site, but the picture has some problems (I screwed up the colors, b/w not fitting for a birthday pic, probably better if she popped out of the cake, etc).

I like the picture too. Misfile is my favourite webcomic. And I'm still rooting for an Ash/Emily pairing. It's nice to see how the authot managed to introduce another love interest for Ash just after Emily acknowledged her own feelings for Ash.

What is it about Misfile that draws Ranma fans? It's one of my favourites as well.
Out of interest, how do you do these? A scanned pencil drawing, colloured on a computer? 3D Modeling?

Maybe it has to do with the whole 'gender bending' theme?
I've read a little of Misfile, but I haven't read anymore for about a year or two. I can't quite remember.

In the fanart section of misfile there's a picture of several boys-turned-to-girls talking about their origins. I wish Ranma was there somewhere.
As for the pictures:
I use Poser 5 for the most part. There are literally hundreds of free models floating around internet, and a lot of costumes can be built by piecing together models from various sources. Sometimes I model (using 3ds495, the 1995 version of 3dsmax) my own clothes, hair, and other props. In extreme cases I go buy the model (gloves, for example, are next to impossible to find free), or request it from someone. The base bodies for both pictures, for example, were bought from daz and RO.
After I put all of it together in poser, I try to edit the picture in Paint shop pro to make it more anime-like, add shadows, color, background, and whatever smoothing necessary. I also use PSP for creating eyes and textures and other small details.

Her arm is at an odd angle. If she had it behind the Snowman it would seem like they were standing together but right now it seems more like it's just out there to point out she's ahead of it. If she were running I'd think it was a chase but it's just well out of place.
