It's ten short stories. Those of you who visit FFnet have had the chance to read two of them; those who visit my website have been able to read two more. Those are the ones I wrote by myself. The other six were written together by myself and Mary, and all of them published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. Some have been translated into German or French. They all are mysteries, of a sort, though several have a decent amount of fantasy in them. (Dragons? Wizards? Werewolves? Yes indeed!)
I try to put humor or wit into everything, and usually succeed. The codfish belongs in a story called "The Scales Of Justice." Another of the stories is rather tag-team: I gave Mary a list of things to include, and she wrote the first half of the story to lead inescapably to a certain conclusion. Then I wrote the second half to stand that conclusion on its head. We both went over the result, so it wasn't obvious two different people with two different styles wrote the two halves.
Mary also writes as Monica Ferris. The nineteenth book in her Betsy Devonshire mystery series is coming out in a couple of weeks, from Berkley Prime Crime.
