The fic I'm looking for is one I read a while back, but now can't seem to find, despite setting the filters at ff.net to check for it. I'm not too good at writing, and often have trouble with writers block. I won't settle for less than 1k, and prefer to get above 1.5k, but it's rare I get much above 2 or 3. My longest is about 5k, but that was after a major re-write just before I posted it, suggested by my beta.

My chapter length cut-off tends to be between 1k and 1.5k, although some authors I'll allow more leeway than others. Most of the time I pick up new fics from C2's, or from here and TFF.

I'd vote for either a Landmaster from the remake of Appleseed, a scout mech from Battletech, something from Heavy Gear (some of the smallest mechs in existance, at barely above 7 feet tall, and some even shorter) or the mechs from near the end of GitS: SAC.

Tenebrae are you sure you don't have it confused for one where Ranma was part of the Katsuragi Expedition and ended up reincarnated curse and all as part of Ayanami Rei? Pretty sure, yes. As far as I'm aware, the only Ramna element was Shinji's curse. I might be wrong, of course, it's been a while ...

I'm sure I remember an NGE/Ramna 1/2 cross where Shinji had the girl curse while at NERV. I remember his girl form as having teal-coloured hair, but not much more than that, and I haven't spotted it among the links so far.
