“Finally.” A toothy grin spread over Ranma’s face. Climbing to her feet, she patted off some of the grass that had stuck to her back, and trotted off across the field to stop them next to second base. “I take it you’re the ones who have been hunting the humans?” Ranma asked rhetorically, her eyes scanning the trio. Details like clothing were discarded, she was judging them based off non-physical features, the man on the left with blond hair in a ponytail had something about him, as well as the woman with bright red hair nearly a match for Ranma’s own.

“If we’ve been causing problems, we’re just passing through.” The middle man, who had a darker but still very pale complexion replied with a slight French accent to his English.

“Heh, you did enough that I had to come here.” Ranma had decided that it would be the woman first. No reason really but Ranma felt that she would be the most trouble if she had escaped.

“I see no pendant; you are not with the Volturi.” The middle one looked at her with unease.

“I’m with someone worse.” Pulling out a pistol with her right hand from underneath her jacket, the trio tensed, and then scattered when she fired off three shots at the female.

Only one bullet grazed her arm but it was enough to ignite her entire left arm down from the shoulder. As the woman screamed in pain, she had to stop moving to put out the flames, and this allowed Ranma to close the four meter distance in a single jump. Drawing her left hand across her body, there was a brief moment of eye contact with the vampire that was suddenly ended when she decapitated her with a knife hand through the middle of her skull.

Before the broken skull could hit the ground, Ranma had to crouch under an attack from behind by the male vampire with the ponytail. Planting her hands on the ground, she rotated up into a handstand to kick him underneath his chin. Still turning she pushed off with her hands to flip up to her feet. Looking over her shoulder with a cocky grin, Ranma found that she had nearly shattered the vampires jaw, the skin appearing to be cracked stone and not flesh.

He ignored the injury to swipe at her with his fingers curled like claws. Ranma was overconfident and was clipped several times while weaving around his attacks, tearing through her clothes and partially into her flesh. Ignoring her own damage, she didn’t return any attacks, choosing to fire several bullets into the female’s body lighting it on fire as if coated by gasoline. He screamed in rage and overextended his right arm. Catching his wrist, she twisted till the back was facing her, then struck with her free hand with the intent to break it at the elbow, but in the end snapped it off completely.

“Oopsies.” Ranma exclaimed in a cutesy voice as the vampire backed away several steps while staring incredulously at his severed limb. “Here you go.” Shooting forward, Ranma gripped the arm firmly, and hit him in side of the head. “Why are you hitting yourself?” She remarked snidely, striking him directly in the nose.

Dropping the arm that had broken in several places from the force, she plunged her hand through his chest and spine. “I know this won’t kill you.” She commented, holding his body up. “But it’ll stop you from jumping around won’t it?” With a quick jerk, she pulled her arm free, and he dropped to the ground in a heap. The wound was already healing, so she quickly put several bullets into him to finish off her magazine, and make him explode into flames like the woman had.

Hitting the magazine release, she slapped another one in, and chambered the round. “Not going to help your friends?” She asked, her red eyes shifting to the darker skinned one who had remained off to the side, he hadn’t even ran to safety.

“They were not my friends.” He answered. “And I have no desire to fight-- whatever you are. I just want to leave without being hunted.”

“You’re pretty smart.” Ranma ignored him to pick up the severed head that glared angrily at her. “In ya go.” She joked to herself and tossed the woman’s head into the fire with the rest of her body.

That was Anti-climactic. I was at least expecting the man hunters to put up more of a fight.

Thing about the knife hand. If it shattered her skull in half how did it decapitate her in the same blow? The only half split that would impact the spine would seem to be overhead, downwards. But to decapitate wouldn't it be from the side to separate the head from the neck?

They're like the 'Bonnie and Clyde' vampires, their combat ability is basically nothing, used to fighting humans they rely on naturally being stronger than anything they are fighting. Ranma however is a trained fighter and does not rely on brute strength to do the job. She also uses surprise and superior weaponry to get the jump on the first one, and was able to drive the second into a frothing rage that he couldn't hope to think.

Ranma decapitated her so that her hand went through the jaw but not the skull.it really wasn't a clean job of it.

That was about the fight I was expecting them to be able to put up. Hopefully the one withnthe Cullen's will be a little longer or all this build up will be slightly disappointing. Nice work on what bits of the fight thtere was though.

It could be amusing if the Cullens tried to fight Ranma using wooden stakes and garlic (the Cullens figuring traditional=traditional weaknesses). I reckon they'd only manage to make her laugh or piss her off for insulting her. Then again it could be a stupid idea.

Mostly unrelated note (I just thought I'd add this since I only just learnt it and found it interesting): Traditionally(Europe) stakes through the body/corpse (heart, mouth or stomach) where a preventative method, the idea being that if the body was physical pinned to its grave then it couldn't rise from its grave. And more so then not depending on the story/vampire, decapitation was considered the more effective method of killing a risen vampire. However we all should know that Alucard can reform from a fine red mist.

On that note do they ever mention Alucard as having any major weakness if any in the manga, cause I've only seen the anime and OVA's?

Garlic would just piss Ranma off. It's a lot like someone with an allergy having it shoved in their face. A stake would be a good weapon because it's the only purely physical object that'll take Ranma down. Although really staking + decapitation is the only sure way to kill Ranma. Alucard was able to survive it because he has souls he can cash in like "get out of death" chips.

Pretty much anything blessed correctly is a weakness. Ranma mentioned in the main story that there were weaknesses that could never be overcome.

For example the ordinance in Ranma's gun. She has to fight with tools that she can't even touch part of.

In my head I also thought of garlic like an allergic reaction, since in most stories garlic does not really hurt them but only keeps them away. Also your right about the blessed stuff sine I forgot about Anderson and his blessed bayonets, but nothing to me seems like a critical hit to Alucard since he can still out class anyone even with blessed weapons, but I guess it comes with extrema age. And I guess Luke's single soul can't compare to the millions I imagine Alucard has taken.

About stakes again. An interesting idea on the net was that wooden stakes can harm vampires were metal and stone can't because the wood was once living when the metal and stone hasn't ever been living. I guess its the idea that the wood is the undead remains of a tree, giving it the power to harm the undead.

Questions. Will/has Alice had visions of Ranma? Also you've mentioned the Voultri, are they on the target list as well or just a side note. (P.S. if the answers are spoilers then I don't really need an answer)

Yup Ranma has to be very careful to not touch any of the bullets in her weapons. Thick gloves help but even with them like what happened to Ceres in episode 2, it'll go through that if coming in direct contact with the silver.

Ranma's shotgun has less problems with that because the shells are contained, and there isn't any exposed blessed material.

Stakes have to be wooden or blessed.

Alice will have a vision that Ranma is going to kil them. I also altered the original meeting with the big group outside of Swan's house to be that Alice could see Ranma in her visions. But not with clarity. Supposedly Alice can't have good visions of things that she doesn't understand. She was a human, she is a vampire, so she can see them. But she can't see shape shifters because she isn't one. Which is one of the few reasonable things Meyer came up with, even though it was changed a couple times iirc depending on circumstances.

I still hope there will be a reason to restore the tension and maybe hunt out that group to reduce the numbers of Human Hunting Vampires.

We haven't even seen how the wanabe vampiress reacts when she wakes up yet.

It's ironic(at least in this story) since we know that Hellsing knows about the Volturi and in fact has a file on them and that at the very least that the US government knows enough about vampires to call Hellsing in to deal with them. In my opinion that makes the Volturi a group of failures and even worse now that Hellsing had to intervene. I reckon the Volturi heads will be pulling hair out once they hear about it and may think their two dozen would trump three Hellsing vampires + soldiers. But that would probably be escaping the scope of the side story.

As for Bella I can't imagine her doing anything but rushing into danger to be with her darling Edward.

“You’re pretty smart.” Ranma ignored him to pick up the severed head that glared angrily at her. “In ya go.” She joked to herself and tossed the woman’s head into the fire with the rest of her body.

“I have not survived by making enemies, words are far better than swords.”

“You’re probably showing your age.” Ranma imagined that sometime in the future she may let slip some slang that would be incomprehensible to whoever heard it. “Why should I let you live?” If he did actually give a good reason she might be inclined to do just that, however it would have to be a very good reason at this point. She was hungry and wanted to see what these vampires tasted like.

“I’m not into politics, I’m just a survivor. Allow me to leave and I will vanish. There is nothing else I could promise.”

“You’re honest at least.” Ranma locked eyes with the vampire. There were no mental defenses to break and she wrapped her mental powers around his mind. She now knew his name to be Laurent, he had been traveling with the other two vampires who had been a couple, and they were most certainly the ones she had been sent to find. “But that’s not good enough.” To Laurent, the world fell away into blackness except for her.

“Wh-- what’s going on?” He backed away, looking around the dark world in fright.

“The humans you killed, did you play with them?” Her voice reverberated within Laurent’s skull, the echo growing rather than dying away. To the outside observers, the vampire was reacting to nothing but the sound of her voice as she slowly walked across the grass towards him. Behind her, the burning bodies of the vampires crackled and popped as they were consumed.

“No, that was James and Victoria!” He protested, clutching the side of his head.

“I’m sure you were innocent.” Ranma chuckled darkly. “An innocent vampire.” It was so easy to dominate this vampires mind that she quickly destroyed his mind under the verbal and visual assault. With a pained scream, he collapsed to his knees to stare blankly forward. “Pathetic.” She spat, twisting his head to one side.

“Let’s see if you at least taste good.” Her teeth altered into a mouthful of fangs, and she plunged them into his jugular. No liquid immediately filled her mouth and she had to draw out herself. What did come immediately made her gag and she released his neck to throw up the foul tasting fluid. “Yeuck.” She slurred, her tongue hanging from her mouth.

Ranma's hungry and most vampires are edible and in the case of chip vampires are like diet humans.

Needed slightly more torturing and I would have liked to see exactly what she was showing him that made him break down so easily. The eating him portion was a nice touch though however it would've been neater and scarier if she had enveloped him rather then simply chomping on him. The first thing that came to my mind was 'you are what you eat' and having this abortive feeding have some sort of side effect.
