Ranma joins the Genshiken

Okay this is the other place I posted this, it's mostly an idea for Stacy's ne site Fan's Press http://fanspress.kicks-ass.net/ But Since that only has 14 members I figured I'd post it here too.
Here's the idea so far as it goes:
The Setup
Ranma gets into college, unfortunately for him, so do his Fiancees. Shampoo sets up a Ramen stand near his school, Ukyou gets in as well and is taking classes as well as running a new Yattai around the college grounds. Akane gets into the school as well, and Ranma needs a new place to hide from them all.
The Plot
Enter the Genshiken, The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture. A place where women dare to tread and his fiancees would NEVER think to find him. Ranma hides among the Otaku slowly getting corrupted by H-Games and Anime and playing fighting games (which he is surprisingly bad at, but won't stop tyring to master) for a while hiding from his fiancees, until they figure it out.
The fiancees obviously don't want Ranma to become an Otaku, and thus the story progresses, complete with challenges from other clubs, attempts to steal Ranma from the Genshiken, Martial artists of the week, and of course Cosplay preparation for conventions. And of course let's not forget the inevietable trials of College life.
The idea of Ranma the Otaku is a bit appealing to tell the truth, and despite the number of Continuations of the ranma series there's really only two where ranma goes to college Diamonds in the Rough (http://florestica.com/brandall/ditr/index.htm), and Daigakusei no Ranma (http://www.dkcomm.net/) This would add another to both of those wonderful titles.
Obviously this would be a no pairing fic given the premise, but think of the possibilities for mayhem. You just know Ranma will run into practitioners of "Anything Goes Martial Arts Cosplay" Or the "Anything Goes Fighting game Championship" and if Ranma attempts to get a drivers license how much do you bet he'll lose it within a week from an "Anything Goes Martial Arts Driving" Match?

There's ALREADY a practitioner of Martial Arts Fighting Games in the Genshiken. Namely, Kohsaka.
Although to be fair, he's a monster at any videogame, from Puyo Puyo to Guilty Gear XX.

It'll be neat to see if Kanako can coerce one of the Ranma girls into cosplay...
I gotta see this "Anything Goes Fighting Game Championship". Since fighting games are all about fighting, mastering those types of games (and possible integrating some game moves into his own real life arsenal) would probably be a priority for Ranma. Of course, he would have a great sensei/sparring partner in Kohsaka-kun.
