SailorMoon / GOR crossover (maybe throw in Ranma too)

For submitting and talking about story ideas. Idea submissions must be at least five paragraphs long, and include plot points, summaries of which characters are involved, and, for fanfiction, how it differs from canon. SailorMoon / GOR crossover (maybe throw in Ranma too)

Postby Ordieth117 » Tue Jan 02, 2007 3:40 pm

Plot synopsis:
Gor is a series written by John Norman published a while ago.
According to the story of Gor, the planet Gor is exactly opposite Earth in the same rotation around the Sun, same weight, etc. Can't remember if there's a moon or not.
Well, if Gor exists, then it's another planet in the Solar System with a Heliocentric orbit. Not just another moon. To me, this means it would have a Senshi. The fall of the moon kingdom is a good reason for the different "upbringings" of each planet. The secretive high-tech masters of Gor could be remnants of the moon kingdom, could be remnants of Beryl's army trying to build a new force, or could be something else.
It would be easy to make the story Hentai or Ecchi due to the nature of Gor, but it doesn't have to be that way. Gor is a society where women are slaves. Introducing a male from Gor to the Senshi would be odd, depending on who you gave the more forceful personality. Same with introducing a female from Gor, Senshi or not.
Why would the Senshi from Gor finally awake? Would Gor's Senshi awake on Earth or on Gor? Would Gor's Senshi be male or female? Does Gor have a moon for its own moon princess? Is Gor a rival to Earth?
Throwing Ranma into the mix gets even more fun, since Ranma is kick butt both as male and female. Gor fighters tend to use weapons and be all about how quickly they can kill their enemy. They'll respect Ranma's male side for his speed, but be disgusted with his reluctance to kill or maim. They'll be upset with his female side's ability to resist becoming a slave. It'll be much like Kuno, only more so.
If Ranma was Gor's Senshi, then having him go to Gor to learn about its people could ... severely alter his relationship with Akane, one way or the other. He might learn Gor's fighting philosophy. He might be corrupted by their gender philosophy. He might fight against both and cause a gradual rebellion on Gor.
Gor is much like how many portray Mars as a combative planet. Sure, they have arts, and sciences, and peace, and love (when it's not twisted into something else), etc, but they're still back in the middle ages as far as might makes right.
Questions to be answered by the authors:
Why didn't Setsuna know about Gor?
How do the characters get from Gor to Earth or Earth to Gor the first time?
Why is the Senshi of Gor just now waking up?
How will the populace of Gor react to the Senshi, and vice versus?
Will the story be a darker, political and philosophical story, or light and comedic?
Good luck, creative geniuses!

Why is the Senshi of Gor just now waking up?

The mages or whatever on Gor didn't want a female senshi so thay cast a spell to find a male that could be the senshi not realizing that only a female could be a senshi. The spell can't find anyone for a long time until Ranma who is both male and female

Why didn't Setsuna know about Gor?

Oh she did. She just never thought dealing with them was worth the risk to CT or the simple migraine inducing aggravation their culture is, when she has already had to deal with earth close to that stage for so long.
"They don't want a Senshi, fine. Earth shouldn't detect them for a few centuries yet so maybe I'll get lucky and they'll fight themselves to extinction by then."

It's been so long since I've read Gor (especially the first six) that I'll probably be wrong on a lot of this, but here's an attempt at a prologue.
Setsuna sat at the kitchen table in the Outers home, sipping coffee and wishing her hangover wasn't quite so throbbing, or the kitchen lights weren't quite so bright. At least the coffee was strong enough to help scrape the fur off her tongue. Trying to make sense of the future was never easy. The future is fluid; a mess of probability functions that make quantum mechanics look like arithmetic. Free will coexists with predetermination and destiny in a tandem yet separate relationship, and trying to act on plans to guide the future with so many variables was mind numbing even for someone with her vast experience at the job.
Of course, having your carefully planned 98% likely future suddenly reduced to 30% was enough to drive anyone to drink. But all of her searching of the immediate past of Earth had yielded an abysmal -nothing- that could have caused the sudden decline. It made no sense! The future can change with someone making a decision to act, sure, but the Gates are tuned to major shifts like that, and she can almost always find them with some searching.
A sudden, overly loud chirping was startling and painful. Painful enough that she didn't immediately notice the burning of the hot coffee she poured in her lap. Anyone watching would have had a hard time not laughing as the hung over Queen of Calm and Mysterious image was shattered by Setsuna's drunken dance to wipe off the hot coffee and answer the communicator. Taking a deep breath, she opened it with all the serenity she could collect.
"SOMEBODY BETTER HAVE LOST A LIMB!" Needless to say, she didn't collect much.
Ami blinked in confusion, checking her connection to make sure she called the right person. "Setsuna? Is that really you?"
Setsuna's half open, sunken, massively reddened eyes glared at the chipper visage of Ami on her communicator. "What do you need, Miss Mizuno?"
Ami shook her head briefly and related the reason for her call. "The computer noticed a surge of Silver Millenium energy about a half hour ago. I've worked on tracing the energy, but the readings are strange."
Setsuna tried to wrap her head around what Ami was telling her, but it was like trying to wrap a gold brick around a lemon. "Hold on a moment, Ami."
Setsuna set down the communicator and walked to the refrigerator, grabbing an ice tray. She went to the sink, dumped the ice in it and patiently filled it with cold water. Taking a deep breath, she plunged her head into the sink repeatedly until the pain started to recede enough for her to think. Hair stuck to her head in a wet mass, she shambled back to the table and picked up the communicator again.
"Ami, how are the readings strange?" She felt proud that her words no longer sounded slurred and sloppy.
Ami opened and closed her mouth a few times, her eyes wider than normal.
"Ami? The readings."
Shutting her mouth, Ami looked slightly off screen and concentrated on something. "The only thing even remotely normal about them is that they terminated here in Japan. They seem to be a planetary link of some kind, but ..."
Confusion and frustration mounting, Setsuna replied tersely. "But -what-, Ami?"
"But they come from the other side of the sun."
"..."
"Setsuna? Your face is really pale, and a little green. Are you alright?"
"..."
"Setsuna, why are you crying?"

Hmm...May they are dissenters of the Silver Millenium....what if existed a faction in the start of the Silver Millenium what advocated for a Patriarchal goverment, and got exiled there...?
A NUTCASE HAS SPOKEN.
For those what want to see the true depths of my insanity..here is a sample.

That explanation is entirely too serious and non-insane.
I offer a counter-explanation: So there's this Kender with a ring of wishes... :D

PD: Ain't a insult, just what i get really bored of wanktastic explanations what lack any semblance of common sense and capacity to interest writers and readers on general...to do that, is an insult for all those who take a part of their own time to read fanfiction, comment and aid...

In any case, I can only say this about the whole idea:
This will end in tears.

PH has a point; the very premise of this story, and the nature of Gor means this wont be a simple or light story. As simple as possible sure, and certainly no Kender, but ... There cannot be avoided some measure of complexity.
To that, I'm wondering... would the powers that be on Gor (what were their names, darn it?!) try to send Talbot to educate Ranma to be their representative in the silver court, or would they try to abduct Ranma to Gor? Which would be a better story?
