Well, this just crept into my head, and it's not going away any time soon, so, although I have 3 other ideas and a current story going, I thought I'd get this one down.
This plays off one of the more unusual aspects of Castlevania "canon", which is the Crimson Stone.
According to it, Dracula wasn't always dracula, but rather, Leon Belmont's best friend. Distraught at the loss of his wife, he tricks Leon into killing a current vampire lord, and then steals his powers with the alchemical stone.
Throughout the game, this is part of the reason why Dracula can revive, along with the new "as long as there is chaos" fusion from Aria of Sorrow.
Now, this is the weakest part, but Ranma somehow acquires the crimson stone in a period where Dracula lies dormant, and instead of Vlad....can you say Ranma the Impaler?
I'm not sure of a Ranma canon insertion point, but I think it'd be sometime after the main characters have been established, I don't relish the thought of throwing canon on its access.
However, Dracula's personality has become embedded into the stone, of course, and is now wreaking havoc with Ranma's senses.
Ranma gets sporadic personality changes, that wreak havoc with both him and the rest of Nerima...
And to make things worse, Julius Belmont, Yoko Belnades, and Genya Arikado.....a.k.a. Alucard will certainly be appearing....
In addition to another mainstay of the series....Camilla, loyal as ever to her "master."
From there, it all goes downhill.
I'll add more when I finish my last paper, but does anyone have any comments thus far?
