we've all seen how in anime, massive amounts of property damage can be dealt with little or no loss of life or serious injury. that is what got me thinking. what would happen in the various anime universes if someone actually got hurt? and i don't mean little cuts and such, i mean to the level of possibly losing a limb? or an eye? or became paralyzed from the waist down? i know it's kind of vague, but i can make it more specific, just for comparison. what if, during a fight between the varius rivals that ranma has, someone got caught in a shi shi hokodan? or got blasted by shampoo's bonbouri destroying a wall? i got to thinking on the possible answers to that, and an idea started to trickle through my head. could it end up that someone like shampoo would have to remain by that persons side helping them until they are able to return to how they were before?

edit: ok, i'm going to try to clear this up. the original idea for this came from reading a lot of ranma fics where the nwc did massive property damage, but no injuries to the bystanders. so i got to thinking about a likely way something like that could occur. what if someone was badly injured by shampoo in a struggle between her, ukyo, akane, and kodachi?

my thoughts were that perhaps something in their laws may require her to help that person recover. yes, i know a lot of their laws are unspoken, but i would think that, while they do not seem to care about outsiders much, perhaps there was a set of laws that stated they had to take care of such things when outside the walls of their village. perhaps an extension of the 'outsider' rules?

while this would cover the amazons, how would the rest of the nwc take it? would they try to help, or would they not care?

anyway, i'm gonna write this idea up from the point of view of the injured person. i would appreciate any input i could get on this idea.

What you are proposing is removing the slapstick from Ranma 1/2's slapstick violence without also removing the violence. The result is, of course, horror, and almost inevitably will utterly destroy (whether it be physically or psychologically) every major character in the course of, well, maybe a few minutes.
