The way this would work is since the Addams family name is far from being at risk Genma would have married into Nodoka's clan. And all the training really was just converting standard Addams kids pranks so that they provide the best possible Martial Arts training advantage.
So any chance?

That would lead to a revelation at breakfast that the only way Nodoka was able to keep the house while Genma was on his training trip was by reaching out to his relatives for support. And she was just then getting word back on assistance for rebuilding the Saotome home. Not only was a message sent but the head house of the Addams clan decided to come out with his family to see how bad the mess is while getting in a vacation in Tokyo.

If it's after the failed wedding fiasco, then it would have already been noted that the original house the Saotomes used to live in wasn't the one Nodoka was living in before THAT house got demolished by Ukyo and the others.

The Vulture gets there after the failed wedding and the Addams Family are already on their way to town.

To make this a little easier. After Genma and Ranma go on the Training trip Genma's bills start coming home even though the Martial Artist hasn't. After a while Genma's bar tabs and restitution for other exploits have nearly bankrupted Nodoka. She contacts the Addams Family and they support her through the rest of the training trip.
Before the fic the last time Nodoka sent off word to Gomez was the destruction of the Saotome home by Ranma's Fiancées and the Vulture only just managed to find the Tendo home (A place it had never been before) to get the word to Nodoka after the failed wedding.
Vultures may have a great sense of smell but it doesn't help when it has to search along all the old usual/habitual paths a person uses before tracking down where the sent is spending its time now.
