The lists are Cast with character descriptions as they are and Unanswered questions. The questions that have not been answered I keep finding I still can't come up with answers for. But I figure if I get the lists together maybe you could answer some of them and bring about something I could offer help on again. There is Alllot of info already.

Yeah, 40 pages of data is a lot to go through. I'm fine with leaving things alone on this topic. Hmm... given that your sectors keep getting corrupted, perhaps you should make that Twin-Carnation topic where you planned to load up the lists (or even make two, one for unanswered questions, one for characters) and post data to them page by page? I mean, collect the data from a page, then upload it to the topic? That way, if your computer fails, you don't have to keep starting from the beginning.

Ouch, no wonder it went. Still, my suggestion has validity- with the list being expanded upon page by page rather than done up all at once, you aren't at the risk of losing everything. One must walk before one can run, and all that.

The main problem though is that it will feel like I'm just copying over this thread. Well maybe half of it. Into at least 1 if not 2 new threads. Eye yeye I'm going to take a meal break.

True, that may be the case... but, once you've made those 'raw' lists, you have everything in one spot so you can easily pluck it and refine it into a more useful format.

In a way making the lists at all is an attempt to refine it into a more useful form. But shouldn't you be reading through and doing something similar with the story elements? IS what this thread has still a story you want to write? And one thing I kinda noticed all through my list making is you asked allot of the questions and didn't answer much of them.

Now that you bring it up, I admit that I should do something like that. Could I just ask you to define what you mean by story elements though?

And, yes, I'm sorry about that. My usual tendency when writing is to first devise a scenario, turn it into a question (aka, what is this aspect?), and then either pick the brains of my writing partner -you, in this case- or see what kind of answer I can concoct myself, which I then add to get opinions on. If the answer gels with both parties, it stays. If one (or neither) of us like it, then I scrap it and try and come up with a new possibility.

The parts that are not character description and apply to the events that you want to occur in the story. Like the first post presents a scenario. It doesn't really get into the characters at all. But all the situations that have been proposed are Story Elements. And making a list of those while trying to do the Cast and Unanswered questions was what was halting my progress in the first list.

Ah, I see... I think. Do you want me to just keep them in a folder on my computer, or to post them to a list topic (either your collected one, or one of my own making)?

Better to keep them to the computer. They are going to keep growing until you have multiple chapters detailed and near ready to publish. And even though more things were said for the characters in this thread there are story elements to nearly all of them.

It's been a while since I answered here, and I'm sorry for that. Have you had any luck in assembling the lists?

I got side tracked. At the moment I can't even think of what I named the files but I'll do a file search using one of the character names it should make them easier to find. But no they aren't finished and aside from that I'm not sure how far along they are.
