Temple of Ranma's Sailor Senshi Seifuku

I need a good, workable idea for how Hotaru learns of Ranma's curse.. and at the same time he learns of her healing ability. For those who know my idea behind SG, this is the first time through the timeline where Ranma doesn't interact with the senshi and just becomes Hotaru's friend.

What i need is a scene where they learn eachother's ability (ive been going ranma gets splashed and hurt.. cuts or a cracked bone) and shakes Hotaru up a little.

Ideas so far:

Car -
a car accident ends up hitting a fire hydrant. one of the caps (or a shard from the car.. or something) pops off from the damage with a jet of water behind it. ranma deflects the object so it doesnt hit hotaru.. but gets hurt and changed.

Ryouga (overdone.. but more plausable than Car) -
ryouga attacks with bandana-shuriken and ranma is forced to block them because hotaru is behind him. him an ryouga fight it out and they both end up soaked (lake, river, sprinklers... whatever)

Aquarium -
hotaru wanted to see an aquarium that had just reopened and the aquarium wasn't finished with their remodeling, but still opened. SOMETHING happens that breaks one of the tanks and ranma gets cut up by the glass as the water changes him... needs some sort of plausable sequence for me to actually feel safe using it...


Anyone have any other ideas? I'm not writing the scene itself now.. but im writing a flashback to a scene shortly after it and i cant make reference to it if i dont feel safe using the scene... ^^;;

Perhaps they are walking and Ranma gets dragged into a fight keeping it away from Hotaru, or otherwise has need of medical attention. Perhaps one of those window washer trolley things or some scaffolding gives way and forces them to make a clumsey dodge. Then either Ranma or Hotaru aquires a cut from broken glass or surface friction/abrasion from the escape. Hotaru heals it and the awkward moment that follows is broken by a water hazard either related to the dodge (such as a bucket that took a while longer to fall) or completely out of left field (like both getting splashed by a passing car hitting the puddle of water formed from the falling trolley (which would also allow the tense moment of Ranma narrowly dodging the water while getting them to safety).

Trolley breaks. Ranma saves Hotaru and himself from falling debris, then catches a falling worker. Hotaru heals the minor injury she got during the daring escape but Ranma comes back to check on her after setting down the worker (Ranma verbally congradulates himself or comments on the situation going so well, while the worker is in shock and possibly swooning if female(or male, heh)) and catches her in the act. They both stare at each in a tense kind of deer in headlights moment, when a passing car douses both of them with water. The moment extends for Hotaru as guilt turns to suprise while Ranma says something along the lines of 'yeah thats more like it' (in a deadpan voice -in relation to his previous statement about the good situation). Anouther brief moment of silence is broken when the situation culminates in Hotaru breaking into giggles, whose mirth spread to the other participants in the fiasco. Could then end the scene there, or use the worker to tweak it by them joining in with their laugh which is really weird or creepy (or lambasting ranma in praise like kodachi does)causeing ranma to freeze up briefly before taking it as a sighn to get while the gettings good, scooping up Hotaru and making a quick get away. Perhaps with the worker in frustrated pursuit.

How about Ranma passing through Juuban High during a Senshi battle and gets caught up when the school explodes during the battle spraying him with cold water and gets hit by debris and/or shrapnel? It could be at any part of the school: swimming pool, boiler room or anywhere there are sprinklers.

You could have him slip and fall off of a pier bumping his head in the process.

Well, do you want to play it serious, or for laughs? With laughs, you could have something like...

Hotaru and Ranma are walking, come across someone who's injured (say, Chibi-Usa, who has skinned her knees or something). Hotaru heals her, then Hotaru gets all worried about Ranma's reaction, and hopes he doesn't hate her for having such a secret. Immediately, a car driving along the road drives through a puddle, and Ranma gets splashed. Ranma is thoroughly unamused.

crystl: i like the scaffolding idea... but i dont see where it woudl happen exactly.

i am sorta skittish of having ranma interact with the senshi on the first time around. at most i only want him to have met the inners once or twice briefly... but everythign is fluid.

and i like your idea wise... but im thinking again of changing everything around since this is causing such a hang :/

i could have hotaru's healing still be secret. or there coudl be a manga-type daimon attack in the park that ranma and hotaru are in...

but i am thinking the change will be accidental and not caused by whats being actively participated in...

It could be as simple as Ranma seeing a girl about to be crushed by falling scaffolding, while walking on the sidewalk by a construction zone. He leaps in and rescues her. Then carrying her bridal stile leaps across the street to a small park. While picking her up he shielded Hotaru with his own body from falling debris, getting a wound of some kind.
As he sets her down she sees the wound and heals it without thinking. There's a moment of silence as Ranma looks at the healed wound, and then the sprinklers in the park go off. The interplay of words ether angst or waff is all up to you.

This might work if you want to make things rather tense between Ranma and the other Outers.

Ranma and Hotaru are in some situation that, when seen from Michiru's point of view, looks like Ranma's trying to take advantage of her daughter. Michi transforms, blasts Ranma with Deep Submerge, Ranma shrugs it off, "What the hell was that for", Hotaru heals Ranma-chan.

Yeah, it needs some work, but who's the author here? Personally, I'm in favor of Taro's idea with waff attached.

If you don't mind something a little on the humorous side, you could go with a bathroom scene. Something like:

Ranma is in the bathroom, disrobes, gets ready to soak himself with a bucket of water.
Hotaru walks in; She is a little startled, ranma on the other hand freaks.
Ranma covers himself and spins around, forgetting that he's holding a bucket of water. The bucket of water clonks him on the head giving him a minor but bloody cut, and spills and douses him activating the curse.

End result: Hotaru sees Ranma transform, get injured.. probably goes to help 'her' out anyways, while Ranma blathers and tries to simultaneously explain and not get thumped.
