Keiichi's Wish gone wrong. (AMG AU Humor Fic)

After hanging around the IRC chat room a couple of us got to discussing how Keiichi's initial wish of having Bellandy stay with him forever could go terribly wrong. I think it was Sunny that basically said it would be amusing if Keiichi somehow wished for Bellandy to become a demon or something along the lines. This got Stratagemini, Sunny, Pale Wolf, DCG and myself talking about how the wish could go wrong.

I as a crack idea basically raised the point that with the right wording, considering how the Ultimate Force seems to take things, Keiichi could find himself in all manner of horrible or at least inconvenient situations. Specifically I mentioned that if Keiichi BELIEVED Bellandy was a goddess at the start and was told about her job, he might make the kind of wish "I wish I had that kind of Job" or something with the right prompting.

I've written the actual idea up, and here it is.

When Bellandy comes to grant Keiichi a wish, Keiichi believes that she
is a goddess having seen her step through his mirror. As he gets to
talking to her she tells him about her job brining happiness to peoples
life through her work at the Goddess Relief Helpline. Being the nice guy
that he is, Keiichi makes a comment, not realizing the significance. "I
wish I had a job like that."


Keiichi finds himself a goddess newly part of the Goddess Relief Office,
and with the help of Bellandy tries to deal with the sudden change in
her life. Skuld, not knowing of Keiichi's history decides to help her
big sisters new friend by finding her a boyfriend while Urd, noticing
that Bellandy's new friend harbors a crush on her baby sister decides
to Help Bellandy and Keiichi-chan's relationship along. Meanwhile both
Bellandy and Keiichi have the deal with the fallout of the wish.


Keiichi is unsure how to deal with the fact that even as a female he
still finds Bellandy as attractive as before while Bellandy is not sure
how to deal with the fact that her future boyfriend in not only a girl,
but a goddess like herself. With both Urd and Skuld making plans for
Keiichi's love life will a relationship bloom between Keiichi and
Bellandy?

At the moment its only a rough idea as its been a while since I've sat down and watched my DVD's or read the manga scans that I have. After giving the idea to the chat room Pale Wolf suggested I wright it and I think I might take him up on the suggestion. However I thought I would post it here and see if there are any major problems that might occur to somebody with more knowledge of the AMG setting than myself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a good source somebody could suggest for me to familiarize myself more fully with the Series. Another question I have is how would the characters react to this situation and if my idea is not plausible can you explain why?

One good thing that comes to mind right away is that bell won't have to worrie about Keiichi getting offed or dieing of old age.

One goal that comes to mind for her again is finding a way to get there files permently linked like the wish did in the normal line.


So what's goddess keiichan going to look like? The one time he spent as a she in the cannon she turned out dressed up by bell in stacked enough to erk urd.

Yeah I have to work that out and have another look at the part where Keiichi-chan was in the manga. And yes I can see that goal though how would Bell handle the fact that the person she went through the trouble of almost getting bound forever is now female? Hmm..

One thought that occurred to me is that the ultimate force would keep K1 from getting her male parts back; after all if K1 were to become a male god he couldn't exactly work for goddess relief could he? So if they want children its Belldandy that would have to go male.

Now why do I see fleeting images of Jusenkyo going through my mind... Especially when her sisters decide to tag along for the ride. We all know how Jusenkyo operates

Maybe a different way to phrase the conversation could help. You know to get that permanence factor back.

Beldandy ends up saying what she does.

"I wish I could always be there to help you with your work." That keeps the always and allows for the Keichi becomes a goddess accident.

Hmm....an interesting idea. I like it. Kind of wish I'd thought of it myself, but too many projects right now anyways.

To me, personally, though, it seems a little odd that Keiichi would phrase his wish exactly like you stated.

Yes, he's a nice guy, yes, he thinks Bell is attractive, so his mind's not firing on all cylinders, but he's a college student who, if I remember right, seems fairly happy, and not really needing money at the very beginning of the series, since he's staying at the male dorm.

Perhaps something along the lines of, "I wish I could get a job like that," and the system force doesn't take time reference into account, along with the alterations that you entailed, obviously changing him into a goddess as part of the requirements.

Another thing: who would be made into his demoness doublet? Sayoko, perhaps?

Also, what would Keiichi be the goddess of? Motorcycles? Racing in general? Luck/odds? Although Ozz has already done that with Ranma....And in that vein, what would be her energy replenishing item?

And finally, you're going to either need crossovers, OC's, or completely avoid the actual wishing process altogether. I don't really have a suggestion in that regard, but it does bear thinking.

Ah, one more question: How does Belldandy know that she's "fated" to be with Keiichi? IIRC, she does develop a very strong connection, yes, but it does build through various kind acts Keiichi does. A potential solution to that is the Allmighty having Belldandy act as Keiichi-chan's supervisor, since, like Skuld, Keiichi would probably start out at trainee status.

Heh...I just thought of something odd. Another chance to keep the two "together".

I don't remember his name, but the pervy friend that Keiichi goes to visit when he first gets kicked out, what if that happened to be Keiichi's first "wish", and naturally, seeing two beauitiful women, his mind flashes to lesbian fantasies....it's probably too forward, but who knows, just an idea.

Would the replenishing item really come into play? I mean it wasn't that important until the system went down. And even then after they got the Moon Stone Bracelets they were able to go without using them much at all. Do they have more importance in the Anime than the Scanlations I have been reading?

I thought the repleshinshing item was more for earth based goddesses. IE that in Asgard they more or less did not need to 'recharge'.

As for why Bellandy 'knows' she is fated to be with Keiichi maybe I'm remembering it wrong but IIRC Bellandy specifically chose Keiichi knowing what his wish would be (or perhaps she wished for it, I need to go back through my collection.)

Yeah Keiichi's perverted friend being the catalyst for Keiichi and Bellandy's relationship is amusing. I'm still thinking what Keiichi would be the goddess of, perhaps Engineering.

Spokavriel, thats an interesting line as well and I can see what you mean. Ill have to consider that. Thanks. At the moment I'm going through my scanalations/DVD's to get back a feel for the characters.

Hmm I'll have to start writing up some OC's and characters that get wishes. I think I'll start with some chracecters that Bellandy describes bringing happiness to through her wish when she is talking to Keiichi.

The whole Belldandy fated to be with Keiichi thing was from the OVA anime. It is not manga canon.

Ah, shows how much I need to re-read the manga. Thanks for pointing that out. That brings Spok's idea a bit more closely to maybe at least bind Bell and Keiichi through the wish.

I'm not so sure about that bissek. After all if you believe that there are no accidents in wishes allowed to be granted Kami-sama might have had that fate in mind in the Manga also. It's just not something dropped in so painfully blatant as it is in the show.

Make Keiichi the Goddess of Silly Mistakes that Work Out For The Best Anyway. Anime is full of those, so Keiichi would have a full portfolio and a lot to do. Make a nice lightweight multi-crossover. Have to find a better name, though -

Hmm I like that idea for Keiichi's portfolio, though I am not sure if I will go with it. It does have promise though.
