Unfortunately there's a lack of Ranma/Claymore crossovers and so I thought about it for a while and came up with some ideas:
Basic plot is that Ranma falls into the spring of drowned half-demon woman (or something like that and how (s)he handles that new power, but there are two different paths I could take with the basic idea:
1st idea: The Ranmaverse is the same world as the Claymoreverse, but more than 1,000 years in the Future.
Sometime in the past a wandering, rogue Claymore came to Jusenkyo and was rather exhausted after a long journey. Seeing the inviting pools she decided to take a dip. After removing her suit of armor and other gear she gets attacked by a very strong youma, just as the guide of that time was about to warn her. The guide’s hiding and watching the battle from a safe distance, getting quite the surprise when he sees the woman’s features change. The battle is getting more brutal and the opponents critically wound each other during their last attack. The woman falls into the uncursed pool and drowns while the youma dissolves into nothing.
The guide reverently takes the woman’s belongings (armor, sword and diary) and writes the tale of the battle down for future generations. The gear gets stored away in case someone ever came to search for the woman, but no one ever comes.
Ranma and Genma have their fight over the springs, but this time Ranma falls into the pool of drowned half-demon woman. He’s the first person to ever fall into that particular pool. The guide knows the story of all of the pools of course, and knows that Ranma didn’t fall into one of the usual drowned girl/woman springs, which was made clear by the fact that the girl emerging didn’t look much like Ranma’s male form. Since the guide who witnessed the creation of that pool included a rather good drawing of the woman that fell into that pool, the guide immediately recognized Ranma as being a younger spitting image of the original victim. Attuned to the magic of Jusenkyo and having witnessed many martial arts battles over the years he managed to feel the demonic energy Ranma was oozing. Remembering the gear that was still stored somewhere, he went to retrieve it and offered it to Ranma, together with the diary. Ranma learns more about the Claymores and their duty. Since it’s a martial artist’s duty to protect those who can’t protect themselves he decides to take over the original victim’s duties as a demon hunter, while looking for a cure at the same time.
There are several possibilities for me to go from here:
a) the organization and the youma still exist today, but as they almost eradicated each other in the past they are operating in secret. They hear of Ranma’s deeds and since she’s not a registered Claymore they start an investigation into her past and try to either recruit her or destroy her.
b) Ranma travels the world and help wherever people need help with youma or other demon problems. This could lead to some crossovers, like Ranma helping the senshi, and the continuing on his way to help some other famous characters (could be crossed with any manga/anime about demons, like Hellsing, La Blue Girl, Devilman, Yu Yu Hakusho,…)
c) Ranma and Genma travel to Nerima and Ranma will have his usual problems, with added demon attacks and meeting of some crossover characters.
2nd idea: Ranma falls into the spring of drowned half-demon woman and is somehow sent to the world of Claymore. The most interesting time period for Ranma to land in would be after the massive and deadly battle between the Claymore and the awakened beings, maybe at the time when Claire and her friends return from their exile.
Ranma would land somewhere in the Claymoreverse (in female form), looking like a Claymore but not having any idea about her powers or her demonic genetic makeup. I had the idea of the neko-ken merging with Ranma’s new demonic DNA, creating a devastating force of nature should Ranma ever fall into the neko-ken. Ranma sees that the people are afraid of her and wants to know why. Slowly she learns more about the world and about Claymores. Trying to access the demonic energies she slowly masters them and finds out that she doesn’t need a sword since she’s able to manifest claws that are just as effective. She wanders around this unknown world, helping people wherever she can until she’s contacted, either by the Organization, Claire and her friends or maybe one of the Abyssals.
