The Others...a SM, Ranma, Multi-cross idea

I posted this Idea in the Uncommon Crossovers thread and decided to expand on it as it's really starting to kick around in my head.
The Others
SM/Ranma/Multi-cross
As everyone knows, for the past who knows how many years, Sailor Pluto (aka Setsuna Meioh) has been preparing the way for her Princess and the rest of the Senshi to be reawakend. Once they are, there are a series of difficult battles that eventually lead to the formation of Crystal Tokyo.
The problem is, though, that each battle becomes progressively more difficult and each one attracts the attention of other dark forces/beings/powers/ect. that, while minor compared to some of the threats that the Senshi have faced, are still a threat to CT. Only a fool would think that these threats would come to the Juuban area of their own violation.
And Setsuna is no fool.
So how does one plan to deal with these problems? The solution is quite simple. Throughout Japan and the rest of the world, there exists those individuals who excel at their chosen profession or possess great skill but, for whatever reason are not affiliated with any particular group or agency (either due to personality, upbringing, honor obligations, and so on).
These are the Others.
However, let’s face facts. Between guarding the Gates of Time, guiding the future towards CT, dealing with the various forces of evil that attack Juuban, raising a daughter, and trying to prepare her Princess for her future roll Setsuna is a very busy person. She needs people who, while not frontline fighters, are individuals who can deal with the various (and often clashing) personalities; people who can act as a dispatcher for the various people in the field.
Enter Nabiki Tendo; Factor for the Japanese Islands...
I have some ideas where do go with this, but I’d love any input that anyone could give me on this. Here’s some of the characters that I’ve been thinking of including.
The Others...
Ayako Mano: (Devil Hunter Yohko) Trained all her life by her grandmother to become the 108th Devil Hunter of the Mano Clan...after she eliminated the ‘other’ 108th Devil Hunter. However, in the end, she lost to her identical twin second cousin, Yohko; so now Ayako has been cut adrift in the world and is searching for a purpose for her life.
Freesia Yagyu: (J2: Counterattack of the Siberia Yagyu) Several years after the Siberia Yagyu had been 'defeated', young Freesia has come to a startling conclusion. While enjoying her time in the loving atmosphere of her 'adoptive' family, the Nanohana's, she needs to find her own place in the world. To make things more interesting, she also (re)discovers that she is indeed her fathers daughter...for deep within her is a burning desire to fight; which is only magnified by the reappearance of the Spade Eyepatch.
Yakumo Fuji: (3x3 Eyes) More of a freelance than a fulltime member of the Others, the Wu is still biding his time until he can once again be reunited with Pai/Parvati after their defeat of Kaiyanwang. Between jobs for Yougekisha, he often helps out where he can; sometimes in Japan, and other times in China or in Taiwan.
Kanako Urashima: (Love Hina) Having been adopted by Grandma Hina and then placed into one of the Urashima families; Kanako grew up basically unnoticed by everyone except her brother, Keitaro until the day that Grandma Hina decided to travel the world and took Kanako with her. During their travels, Grandma Hina taught Kanako much of the family style (one that, while relatively unknown, has a slightly…dubious history to those who know about it). After spending several years with Grandma Hina, Kanako went to the Hina-sou in an attempt to live out her childhood dream with Keitaro; which soon came crashing down on her. Returning once again to Grandma Hinas’ side, Kanako spent another year with her before she was told that she must now go and walk her own path.
Any more ideas for more characters to fill out the ranks of the others would be helpful…I’m thinking of mentioning Becky Farrah (from Gunsmith Cats) and one of the Factors from the US.
As for Ranma, well, I figure the fic would pick up after the manga and with Ranma's introduction to Nabiki's job. The reason that Nabiki hadn't recruited him for the Others? Quite simple. When you're in the middle of a battle with even a (relatively) minor evil from the great beyond (or where ever they come from these days); the last thing you want would be the circus that follows Ranma around to show up!
As for match-ups, I’m thinking it would be a great platform for a Nabiki/Ranma fic.
And, no; I don’t see a way to make it a fuku-fic (unless I make all of the Others into minor Senshi, which would defeat the concept of the fic entirely).

Well, you could have Mikura from Mezzo as one of the Others. She seems fairly good at fighting, and fairly strong as well. The rest of the DSA could help Nabiki with the organisational side of things, perhaps.
You could have one of the whispered from FMP working with the Others. That would allow you to get Mithril involved, if you felt so inclined.
Shiki, from Tsukihime.
The girl from ROD, Yomiko, or whatever her name is, could be fun. Imagine what would happen to a monster made out of paper.

While I agree Shiki would be a good choice, I can't really suggest using the Paper. She is already a part of an organization. I suppose for a purely humerous but not used member of the others, that I would suggest Sewer Urchin from The Tick. Heh, but seriously I would suggest perhaps some character from Gold Digger, maybe Penny or something for an American member. Hm.. anyone else to suggest. Darn if the good ones aren't already associated with their own groups for the most part. Maybe put in Lain as a hacker that works for them? But that may be a bit much.

Well, if these invaders conquer Earth it will lead to a big mess for Spirit World so I can see Koenma Jr, being the lazy little kid he is sometimes, having Yusuke and Co go kick some invader but.

Shiki, from Tsukihime.

Shiki from Kara no Kyokai, if you want someone who could literally kill the darkness (if you get that, you've been browsing around the Beast's Lair).

I've been thinking about making an older Anita King (R.O.D. the TV) one of the Others. I could easly have her 'break' from her family; concidering the fact that she's always been concidered as one of three. Now as a teenager, it's time for her to step out on her own; not that she's doesn't love her sisters, but she wants to make a mark of her own on the world.
The only problem is that, while she is an excellent fighter, she has zero experence with dealing with any mystical forces...

Problem with that is I'm looking for people who aren't affiliated with any other group or are not the best 'people persons' linked to said groups.

If you are willing to stray in videogame land, try Terry Bogard, the Lonely Wolf of Fatal Fury. He was in an anime too, and seeing how he beat what amounts to a demigod by himself, he's definitely strong enough to tangle with te best of 'em.
And since King of Fighters has an anime as well, the 'loners' Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami also apply. Although Iori would do it out of sheer boredom, while Kyo would just o it to prove he's that damn good.
It'd also be amusing if the Others came across a way to prevent the Great Ice - at the cost of Crystal Tokyo - and ended up turning against their former employer, Setsuna. I do not adhere to the 'Evil Mastermind Pluto' club, but it IS true that she's a bit too obsessive about CT. If anything, she's not so much evil as she's a bit fanatical, and she doesn't even realize it, probably...
Just a couple thoughts...

Some of the Cloud Knights from Nanoha might fit, Vita allways seemed like a bit of a loner in that group, and the Cloud Knights in general are, at the end of the credits of A's, only connected to The Bureau through Hayate, being her protectors and servants, but she seems to give them a lot of free reign to live their own lives.
Vita isn't too powerful for this sort of thing, she can put a lot of force into her attacks, and use some impressive abilities like fast flight, tank sheild, world transfers, and magical prisons, but I wouldn't say her attacks are as ridiculously powerful as those of Nanoha, Hayate, and Fate.
An interesting point is that Vita resembles a younger, gothic version of onna-Ranma (if you go by anime coloration of hair and eyes) which would give a chance for some funny misunderstandings.
Eriol at the end of Card Captors is also mostly a free agent of great power, and has a damn annoying personality to boot. (crazy half-reincarnations of Clow Reed!)
Makoto from Love Hina is pretty powerful, and you could easily excuse her leaving the Hinata dorms for some reason (such as being secretly heartbroken when Keitaro marries Naru as the end of the series seems to imply will happen, or wanting to get experience and seek powerful opponents to defeat and prove her skills). She also seems like the sort who would become good friends with Akane if they met. They both seem to enjoy pervert bashing.
Maybe B-ko from project A-ko, although the implications of that universe might be a little awkward, since it would be throwing you into DC comics (sorta).

Kita Furo Is the son of Yagyu Kita Retssai.
Yagyu Kita Retssai killed Yagyu Jubei in the sieres.
Yagyu Jubei is the father of Yagyu Freesia in Jubei-chan 2.
I was talking about Kita Furo.
I think he would be a good addition to the team. He is smart sane and good with a sword.
