I've already posted one Ranma/WoW crossover idea, but apart from the curse this one is much different, and probably less ambitious and easier to write.
Ranma gets the same curse as inmy first idea, but the story will develop much differently.
Typical start: Ranma and Genma are fighting at Jusenkyo and they both land in a spring. Instead of the regular girl spring Ranma lands in the succubus spring (WoW version). Ranma jumps out of the pool and before he realizes the changes his body has gone through a portal opens and he’s sucked in.
The portal opens again in a different universe and spits Ranma out in some kind of lab/magical study in Northrend. Ranma is completely disoriented and the mix of Jusenkyo magic and the teleportation magic has caused a temporary memory loss (not that the scientist/mages who summoned Ranma know about it), much to the disappointment of the mages. Apparently this is a secret research lab instated by the Lich King himself and whose job was to find new worlds for the Scourge to conquer, especially worlds that would offer no resistance. Through the mix of magic and technology the Scourge has managed to invent an easy way to cross dimensions. The problem is that you never know where you land and a lot of the travelers die. But since there’s no shortage of demons the death toll doesn’t really matter.
Apparently, the succubus who drowned in the spring was one of these travelers. Generally it works like this: the scientists open a portal, throw the victim in, and teleport it back a minute later. Most don’t come back alive, unfortunately. Ranma’s memory loss problem is not a rarity, but the cause is quite different from what the Scourge thinks. The Scourge thinks that Ranma had been somehow teleported to a universe with no atmosphere and the absence of oxygen has somehow damaged the brain.
Thanks to Ranma, Earth is now safe from any invasion since the Scourge deems that universe non viable. But what should they do with Ranma ? To their dismay the succubus can’t remember anything about herself nor her succubus abilities. She’s pretty much useless to them now. The scientist give her to some other succubi so that they can try to get Ranma’s memory back. Too bad it doesn’t work and Ranma is sent out as cannon fodder. After all, what use is a ‘damaged’ warrior?
Ranma is sent out to battle, and much to the surprise of her fellow demons she fights in a way no one has ever seen before. And throughout the battle her memories slowly come back and when she realizes what she’s doing, she’s horrified and runs away.
A few years later we find male Ranma in the Old Town in Stormwind, talking to Mathias Shaw (the leader of the SI:7 organization). Apparently Ranma has very quickly risen through the ranks and has become a very valuable member of the organization. His curse has served the organization well since he’s able to perfectly imitate the behavior of a typical demon. He’s the only one who can infiltrate demonic bases for intelligence gathering or assassination missions. Over time Succubus!Ranma has mastered all of her succubus abilities and is also an accomplished rogue. Ranma’s succubus form has other advantages too. She often acts as a warlock’s pet, which has some advantages over a normal succubus pet. First of all, warlock pets are mostly mindless slaves to their summoners. Ranma on the other hand has access to all of her succubus, rogue, and martial arts techniques; Ranma can easily enter into town in demonic form if she’s accompanied by a warlock; no one takes heed of a mindless pet and Ranma has often an easy time of gathering information since most people don’t expect a mindless pet to be a spy.
What are Ranma’s goals in this story? First of all: survival. To survive one needs money, and Ranma’s making a lot with SI:7. Secondly: getting stronger, A LOT stronger, since he needs as much power as possible if he wants to achieve his main goal: returning home. After all, he needs to go back to Northrend to find out how to create those portals and to find the location of his home universe.
