Very original. I like it. And I agree with Spokavriel on all points. Still, excellent work.
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Interesting concept. But wasn't Gaul divided into three parts? Senshix 1/3?

J. St.C. Patrick wrote:Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans.

Ranma certainly has the Gaul to fit in, but unless you are mirroring the super-Deformed style of their weapons, the sheath is wrong, as a knife it's too broad, and as a sword it's too short.

So I don't know how gladius to have it.

The sword is drawn in the style used in the Asterix comics, so it's fine.

What I'd point out is that the helmet looks unfinished compared to the rest of the drawing, having a rough, vague outlines and no detail worth mentioning. Plus, it doesn't fit her head.

The belt is far too narrow, there isn't enough of a ruff at the ends of the leggings, and the shoes should look like leather bags, not modern boots.

Even more importantly, where's her bottle of magic potion?!!

Here's a picture of Asterix and Obelix to compare.

Going by the lighting and angles in that picture if he wasn't in motion the sword would go nearly to his knee and it does have a 1 hand haft. But that length is mostly supported by the convoluted shadow on the ground.

Thanks for the comments.

Fixed the earing ( for those who don't know it is a mini menhir - a minature of the sort Obelix delivers)

Made the helmet sit fruther down on her head.

Lengthened the handle of the sword and the sheath. (it's supposed to be a comic sword)

Changed the shoes - though there is precedence for leaving them as they were without the heel See Asterix and the Secret Weapon- Uderzo has the women wear finer shoes.

As for the bottle of magic potion - it is (even in the first picture) where it always is: on her right side - you just can't see all of it - perhaps the gold colour put you off track.

Allot of improvments. A note on the sword though. The one in this image seems flat to the camera. Something they almost always try to avoid doing in comics so that the perspective difference can let them have it be any length they want when it's drawn.

I honestly think I love the tights and winged hat the most.

The sheathe of the sword looks like it could use a little shading on it though, since, like Spokavriel said, it looks a little on the flat side.

The wings on the helmet still lack detail, and the feet are still not there yet.

Here's a comparison of what you have with some of the original art. The wings are self-explanatory. The ruff at the bottom of the leggings is a smooth-edged deep crescent moon shape. Since this outfit is based on Asterix' normal clothing, I've included a snip of his shoes. Womens' shoes in the comic are similar, but they are drawn with smaller, more elegant feet. The shoes you have now look like they have a split between the large toe, which makes them look like Japanese tabi. As you can see in the original art, the area for the large toe projects out from the rest of the shoe, with no indentations between the toes.

Admittedly, that's hard to tell in the example image, but if you look at the shoes on both Asterix and Obelix in the link I posted earlier, it's much more clear.

Larry, thanks for the suggestions. I've been very busy lately and haven't had a chance to work on the image.

In the meantime here is a combination I started a while ago and have resurected in time for Halloween.

Presenting Ranma-chan Meets Frankenstein or FrankenSenshi.

You got some really strange ideas. But I like it. Does the monster wear bandages?

The head stitching dip just doesn't have any point. Do you have any idea how hard it is turning a saw even when it's a soft medium not in something like bone?

The boots could be blockier and her head could stand to be a bit more squared off. Right now she comes across more like a zombie with some minor restoration work than Frankenstein. The Neck bolts could also be a bit more pronounced. Right now they are rounded and add a slit it could be a screw.

One other note on the boots the one on the stitched leg is at an angle where it is hard to tell if it is blocky at all. Maybe having a bit more of the blocky heal apparent in back on the instep side might help.

Edit: One last thing. A real challenge. Is there any chance of seeing an Akane-Kammen-Kun as the Groom of FrankenSenshi?

First, I don't what to meet what could do that to Ranma, let alone a Senshi Ran-chan. (What ever fuku-ed her up would be worrying enough.)

Reassembled by Sailor Mercury,
reinvigorated by the lightning of Sailor Jupiter,
it's FrankenSenshi!

I don't know if you did it on purpose, but the scar under her eye makes it look like she's always crying, perhaps tears from her lost life and love. Like the Cybermen crying for their lost humanity.

Heh, fun.

The bandages almost make her look like she has some mummy to her.

Yeah, the head scars are a bit odd, though given how much skin she's really showing it's not like you can show surgical scars over her torso or on the top of her head.

Speaking of senshi and Frankenstein, In the manga Hotaru's father pulled a Frankenstein. The good doctor put Hotaru back together using cybernetics and such.

Though that's just adding insult to injury for the poor girl.

I just realized why that shaped scar on the head seemed so off to me. It made me think more of the line to Ayeka's crownish key linking her to her tree than any kind of surgical scar. Sure it still has stitches but what other scar on this particular FrankenRanmachan with stitches curves?
