Debunking Naruto Costuming - Fanon vs. Canon

One of my pet peeves in Naruto fan fiction is that fan authors tend to repeat fanon myths about the clothing without looking to see if it's true or not. So I decided to post some corrections just to get 'em off my chest. If anyone wants to add to the list or wants to ask a question about an outfit, be my guest.

Myth 1: Naruto wears an orange jumpsuit

Naruto does not wear an orange jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are one-piece garments. Naruto typically wears orange pants, a black t-shirt, and a mostly orange jacket. See this image for reference.

Myth 2: Gai Maito and Lee wear green spandex

Gai and Lee do wear one-piece fitted green jumpsuits. But they are not spandex, and do not cling to them. You can't see any detail of their body under the clothing. Picture reference.

Myth 3: Anko Mitarashi wears a fishnet top that reveals her skin underneath

Dead wrong. Anko wears a body-stocking with short sleeves and legs, and which may be reinforced with some tough material to make it resistant to cutting. It almost looks quilted. It is most definitely not see-through.

Myth 1: Naruto also appears (in the anime at least) to wear some kind of armor under his outfit.
