Restarted Ranma RP

Ami listened as her companions talked, one hand dipping into her sundae while the other blurred over the keys of her computer. Each price of information the others dropped about their lives and acquaintances filed away, though she wanted to ask some questions about their mother. While she had never met her biological mother, she had heard some odd things that prevented her from introducing herself beyond the whole 'Hi, I know I'm a girl but I'm actually your son who was declared dead a few years ago' line being, marginally, unbelievable.

A blue eyebrow arched as some interesting information appeared on the monitor. Interesting, there's not only already an Ami Mizuno in Juuban-chou, but sightings of Sailor Senshi. I'll have to do a bit of digging to see how separate my world flowed from this one, as well as determine if I can use this Mercury's power.

She raised her hand to catch the ice cream bullet launched from Temptress on her own spoon and gave the busty red-head a slight glare of annoyance before contributing to the conversation.

"The number of beings who could do it from my world is no small list, nearly all of them, however, are now either dead, imprisoned or otherwise off planet. There is... evidence... that those same beings have counterparts here as well, which could be a bad thing if they encounter any of you, your energy levels are all significantly higher then that of an average human. It would be akin to comparing a drive-thru meal to a five-star banquet." Ami tilted her head in thought, "I wonder if Setsuna would be able to help...? Heh, I'm almost surprised she hasn't already shown up, we have to be showing up as one hell of an anomalous reading from the Gates."

Temptress scratched her head. "She was the one with the green outfit, right? The one who had some kinda gate-y thing?"

The abnormally large-chested red-head pulled a locket out from her cleavage, and looked sadly at the picture of herself, Shampoo and Ukyo. "Mabey she sent us here- I say we go find her, and I'll MAKE her send us back!"

The only one here in nerima that could do somehting like this most likely not meaning too is poor gosling she never was that good at magic when she was human and male.:: her figners drum on the table top as she looks at the others:: If in this world he was trying a spell for one thing then haveing something like summoning us all here would be likely to happen.

Ranma had remained quiet for a good while;
"I don't think summoning several people by accident is that plausible, especially if this Gosling is as bad as you're suggesting. Even if she's that unskilled, then that only makes her more dangerous." Ranma paused briefly before continuing.

"More importantly... Just how old is everyone?" It was certainly an odd question, but the taciturn Ranma seemed dead serious.

Ranma chuckled slightly at Koumei's speech, seemingly not surprised in the slightest. Whether he had been expecting it or not would not be given away by his posture nor gaze.

Ranma stirred from his chair.

"You will not harm her." he stated, his stance and tone calm. "If indeed it was her, she will be needed to send us back."

"More importantly... Just how old is everyone?" It was certainly an odd question, but the taciturn Ranma seemed dead serious.

Ranma raised an eyebrow.

"And what makes you curious?"

Rand glanced at Temptress and snorted. "I'm as tied to the time stream as she is; I would have felt her pull. No... this is something different. None of us are supposed to be here, but we are. Until we figure out what's going on, I suggest we steer clear of the Minato ward as a whole at the very least."

Rand glanced over at the Ranma asking about ages. "Depends on how you measure age. In this incarnation I'm about eighteen, but I have memories of at least four people older than one hundred floating around in here." He knocked on his skull. "And knowing my luck I might get a fifth."

Ranma had remained quiet for a good while;
"I don't think summoning several people by accident is that plausible, especially if this Gosling is as bad as you're suggesting. Even if she's that unskilled, then that only makes her more dangerous." Ranma paused briefly before continuing.

"Might not seem that way but the magic around where we appeared was to unfocused for it to be on purpose, but don't worry I think most of the power came from some item that was used."

I'm 16 years old. An poor gosling before she let herself get cursed any magic she came in contact with would go all pear shaped.

Koumei, like Ami, listened and processed information with amazing ability despite not seeming to be paying the most attention. She figured the others would be on to her soon, if not already. She wasn't exactly hiding her power of insight from anyone. She paused after a long time to let the icecream melt in her mouth and swallow. Sucking the spoon clean, and then motioning with it slightly in the air, not pointing at anyone as that would be rude.

"Perhaps we would be well served to find as much information on this world as possible. Any relavent means of gathering facts. We should collect newspapers, television clips if we can find them, and compile our data." She frowned slightly and chewed on the metal of the spoon for a second. "It is dangerous, but Nabiki, is usually a source of mostly correct information, if it can be aquired for reasonable fee. We have no reason, yet, to believe the Nabiki of this world is any less than some of our others."

She dipped the spoon back into the parfet, "And, as to the matter of money, I believe I have created a suitable strategy, for the time being." She paused again, grinning and closing her eyes in the bliss of icecream. Such sweet, smooth flavor. Letting silence fall over herself again. She seemed to enjoy surprising people.

"I see." Ranma sighed as he heard the news. "So we really are different after all." He scratched the back of his head nervously, "Not that I had any real reason for asking that." he added lamely. "Nope, I'm 15 almost like the rest of you. Yep, definitely 15. "

Ranma was certainly living up to Koumei's earlier statement about Ranma and lying.

Seeing an opportunity for salvation, Ranma immediately attempted to change the subject.

"That's worse. We now have an object of who knows how much power in the hands of some idiot girl who doesn't know how to use it. We'll have to take this carefully if we don't want to end up worse off then we are now.

She's most dangerous if she doesn't know what she's doing. If this is unintentional, then we don't know what she's gonna pull out next, so we have no way to prepare. If we panic her, then she'll act without any thought whatsoever, and no one knows what will happen."

Ranma's words would have been more effective if he wasn't still sweating nervously from his prior misstep.

"But how would we explain why we want ta know, From what I've heard from Haruka she'll just turn around and sell da info about us ta someone else unless we hire her full time, and we don't have the cash for that."

Ranma was not at all surprised by Koumei, although he was wondering what her Real age was. I got one too so whats yours?

"True, but a magical item can only do certain things unlike a person. It also is easier to disarm a person with a mgical item then one with magic."

Ranma smirked slightly, ((wow, how did I miss this? ^_^;; )). Hopefully there were daimons around, his alternate form could easily sway the fools.

He turned towards the increasingly-intelligence showing younger female version of himself at her money comment.

"It's true that information is a necessity, albeit boring to gather, but what need have we for money?"

He paused, shrugging his shoulders while reclining back into his seat.

"In any case, we probably shouldn't remain in one place too long."

Overhearing this Ranma replied "cause we need to eat and sleeping in abandoned buildings is no fun." He then turned back to, um, the Ranma he had been talking to. "So why are you trying to lie about your age anyway?"

"It's easier then stealing everything we want to eat." Ranma paused thoughtfully.

"Besides it's easy enough to make cash being a street performer, and you get too hear a lot of rumors if you're careful enough." he paused thoughtfully, "We could try setting up a business, but I don't really expect to be here that long. Hmm...."

Suddenly inspiration hit, "Anyone want to rob a bank?"

Rand shook his head. "We don't want too much attention called to ourselves. However, we do need a place to stay..." The ice cream man began to stir before a slight gust of wind coming from Rand's direction knocked him out again. "Staying with at the Dojo is out, going to Juuban is definitely out. I really don't want to deal with this universe's Senshi if we don't have to. Besides-" Rand got cut off by a wave of malevolent power pulsing through the ice cream shop. The air warped above a table, giving off a sphere-like feeling of pure evil. (Much more evil than even Pharaoh 90) The chairs started to come alive, fusing together with the tables to form a monster, one far more retched than even the most hideous daimon.

"Well... this is just great."

Suddenly inspiration hit, "Anyone want to rob a bank?"

Ranma smiled, a genuine one this time.

"I'm willing."

Rand got cut off by a wave of malevolent power pulsing through the ice cream shop. The air warped above a table, giving off a sphere-like feeling of pure evil. (Much more evil than even Pharaoh 90) The chairs started to come alive, fusing together with the tables to form a monster, one far more retched than even the most hideous daimon.

Ranma leapt away from the forming monster instinctively, his half-full glass of water moving from the glass towards his person.
