How about removing Asteroid Senshi and making that a Lunar Guard. They would be like the standing troops if you think about it.

You'd only be a Spore for your first 9 posts. I think they'd get over it.

Hmmm how about swaping Spore for the Regular Guy/Regular Girl title then? It'd also make sense....sort of. Civies could be the lowest level....

And we could put "Cadet" in there somewhere... just because that's such a cool word, cadet....

Cadet could work. My little brother is an Air Force Cadet and is going to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. I guess it could go Student---> Cadet----> Candidate-----> Chibi Senshi and so on and so forth.

Isn't Student and Cadet redundant then? Since they both mean the same thing...

.....and for some reason being called "Candidate" reminds me of that anime series "Pilot Candidate"/ "Candidate for Goddess"....

The problem I see with your suggestions is that the rest of the senshi ranks are the scale of power levels Sailor Moon went through, in order of appearance, except for Asteroid Senshi and Moon Senshi. So they don't quite fit.

At least two of them should fit. Without a star seed you can't have planets, and without planets you can't have sailor crystals, and thus no senshi. It's the stuff that all other things come/grow from. And the sailor power guardian is likened to a minor senshi; more minor than asteroid, really. But still senshi since they also guard something.

There are also fanfics which have Senshi Candidates. Especially when they make the royal families large so there are lots of possibilities that could step up into the role due to being more qualified instead of being first born.

The title of "spore" for newcomers is reserved for one of my other sites, Nuke 'Em Till They Glow!! The Early Years. It's the lowest form of an ArbyFish.

And there is a good reason for staying with the canonical Sailor Moon theme; the official name of the site is the Temple of Ranma's Sailor Seifuku. Thus, the rank titles are best if they can be related to the wearing of an extremely embarrassing miniskirt.

(Stares off in another direction, whistling innocently while hoping people don't notice the fact that he chose a title for himself that was distinctly masculine.)

Star seed still makes the most sense for a newcomer. But I contend that I'm insane.

Anyway, I know there's only one Tuxedo Kamen, but couldn't we have one of those, too? I mean, even Uranus was able to wear a cape and mask, if not a tuxedo. Poor Kamen senshi, being ignored. XD

Oh, as for the special rank given to Acey... that was a failed experiment. Acey, having been voted as the most helpful and fun person when I tried to set up rotational special titles, will still deserve one.

Acey's special rank was renamed to "Moon Queen Emeritus".

That means I became Emeritus in absentia

Just a question. But do the Skirt colouring scheme stay the same?

That'll be my next project, since that system was designed for a smaller list of ranks.

It just hit me that I've been actually doing something fun in the admin panel for once, instead of just deleting an endless stream of spam accounts.
