crossover idea twists

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

Something that hit me like a ton of bricks, and made me ponder just how this could possibly happen.

A Sailor Moon / ROBOCOP crossover.

As I originally thought it, it had Hotaru as the ROBOCOP, but I'm uncertain how to cause any of the Senshi to be ROBOCOP.

Another possibility, and I only bring it up because I've not hear of one done this particular way, if at all.

Sailor Moon / Nuku Nuku crossover, with Luna as Nuku. Could be Artemis if you'd like though. Very flexible idea.
Naval Warrior Lord/Lady of Io.
Schizotechnician.
Thermonuclear Firebug.

I've never seen Robocop, but manga Hotaru was a very primitive cyborg of sorts after the lab accident that nearly killed her...

Artemis would make a much better Nuku Nuku. Luna tends to be a fussbudget, and NN is too carefree for that. Hmm, Artemis with a Mercury-computer augmentation link ...

Where is the Galaxy TV building located?;

According to the various digital maps that appear on Sailor Mercury's computer screen during Episode 196, Galaxy TV - the television studio that served as the secret headquarters of Sailor Galaxia and her Sailor Anima Mates - is located in the Ooizumi Gakuen district of Nerima- ku in northwestern Tokyo. You can verify this for yourself by using a combination of the screenshots below and the maps above to track her progress as she homes in on its exact location.

While I'm not sure about this at all, I do believe that the location of the Galaxy TV building is where the Toei Animation Studio - which helped produce the "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon" series in addition to several others over its nearly 50 year history - would be found on our Earth or at least very close to where it would be found, as I know for a fact that the latter is also located somewhere in the Ooizumi Gakuen district. I just don't know happen to know exactly where, that's all. ^_^;

Galaxia's base was in Nerima. You never see what is right in front of you. She must have missed Ranma because he was so close, or she was really trying to get rid of competition for him.

I was doing some research and Digimon's famous Highton View Terrace ("Hikarigaoka"?) is also in Nerima.
I can imagine Myotismon and Sailor Galaxia having a bit of a disagreement over who was going to get their desires. Also Myotismon was clearly a vampire/energy sucker, that would attract the Senshis' attention.

Would the Senshi help the Digidestined? Would the Senshis' `anti-youma` attacks have any affect on the good Digimon? Would Ranma be giving fighting tips to the good guys, or heckling the bad guys? Happosai trying to protect the kids . . . the less said about him stealing the various female combatant's unmentionables the better. Or the mooncats mooning over Gatomon . . .

Just an extremely bizarre idea.

An extremely bizarre idea that might have some potential.

Wait, what? I was certain that that series took place in Odaiba; Myotismon makes use of Fuji TV studios to create that fog bank and cut Odaiba off from the rest of the world. Does this building ring any bells?

Actually, you might try to find a way to tie this into Digimon Tamers, which takes place in the Shinjuku ward; that's right in between Minato and Nerima.

Didn't they mention Odaiba in the movie?

Which one, the one that made it to American theaters, or the other eight or so?

Well, it seems that I have another curve-ball of an idea subject.

Ranma/Noozles: I am unsure of exactly HOW to make it work, but the thought did pop up into my head.

Ranma/Adventures of Pete & Pete: Ranma meets up with Artie: The Strongest Man in the World! It would more likely be a one shot/humor unless someone could think up how to make it a series.

If you're going to do a 'two invincibles' sort of crossover, go straight for the best: Ranma vs. Popeye. Tokyo is a port city, after all. Happosai can deal wif Poopdeck Pappy or vice-versa. For spice, we can have Mousse grabbing onto Olive Oyl. And I wonder how Ukyou would handle J. Wellington Wimpy? "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for an okonomiyaki today!"

The Sea Hag gets off her ship in Minato ward and never makes it to Nerima for some reason. I wonder how Jeep would get along with Luna and Artemis? And what would the Senshi do about Alice the Goon?

What are the comparative power-boost ratings of spinach versus Super Soba?

And does Professor O. G. Wottasnozzle come along? That could drag Washuu all the way to Tokyo from Okayama, if only for the laughs.

This is sounding depressingly feasible.

While we are at it, I wonder how Alley Oop would do crossing over with InuYasha?

Just Google "Popeye" and the first thing that comes up is a really extensive biography on Wikipedia.

Continuing the theme, Bluto and Ryoga could have a lovely battle.

Then I thought of how well Alley Oop and InuYasha (both time-travel stories) would go together. The Katzenjammer Kids (also known as The Captain and the Kids - the copyright forked) would fit right in to Dr. Slump. And I'm sure there are enough surreal talking-animal kingdoms in anime to find a home for Krazy and Ignatz.

Perhaps the creative ferment in American comics of the early twentieth century is a good match for the creative ferment in manga and anime at the end of the twentieth century. Only geezers and geezettes like me could properly appreciate the crossovers, though.
