crossover idea twists

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

Hmm.... Negima/mega-crossover

Fate blows up the big interworld transportation thing. Except instead of getting split up across the entirety of the magical world, the cast is split up across a lot of different magical worlds. The cast reacts much the same, using the time to train and get stronger while looking for the others. Possible ideas

Negi+Chachamaru in Nanohaverse.
Kaede+Konoka in Narutoverse
Asuna+Setsuna in the Violinist of Hamelin
Yuu at Hogwarts, etc.

Throw in some universe that includes a lot of world travelling, Stargate, Kingdom hearts, etc, and it promises to be an amusing sojourn.

Mmmmm.... Eva rubbing shoulders with Alucard. I like the sound of this one.

Hopefully for her they'll hit it off. I don't think Eva is in Alucard's weight class. She has spells that can hurt him, definitely, but in order to actually take him down for good, you need to either A: kill him with anti-midian weapons at least 10,000 times (Once for each person he's fed on to the point of death, plus one), B: Somehow get him to separate all his thralls from his body (Which he can only do when Integra unseals all of his powers) and then kill him with an anti-midian weapon, or C: find a way to banish him from your plane of existence.

Eva's relatively benign as vampires go, I don't think she'll have too many problems so long as she doesn't piss off Integra too badly. Then again, I only have basic knowledge of Hellsing (first manga volume), so Alucard could be a lot more trigger-happy than I'm thinking he is...

The only vampire that Alucard encounters in the entire manga that isn't trying to pick a fight with him is Seras, so it's hard to say. That being said, Alucard is, by his own admission, a monster. While he cannot kill without either orders or being attacked first, once he is able to fight, he slaughters his enemies mercilessly. He sees nothing wrong with impaling people or ripping their heads off with his teeth. The moment Integra says "Search and Destroy", you're guaranteed to have a massacre wherever Alucard ends up.

We've also only ever seen Eva's real power once. At that time she easily defeated an opponent who's supposed to be capable of taking on two battleships by himself and winning. Given that she didn't have much difficulty with that fight, it's hard to judge just what she's capable of.

Unfortunately, Eva wasn't at the scene the split would take place at, so it would be relatively hard to work her into this.

Hopefully for her they'll hit it off. I don't think Eva is in Alucard's weight class. They implied he was weak to running water as well.

Depends on which continaulity you're talking- manga, anime (Negima!) or other anime (Negima!?).

Negima! Eva was able to take down a god with nothing more than a few spells and a little help from her pet android.

God made it with a non-slip surface, a color coded system so we know when to eat it, and an easy open tab at the top of the banana. It's just the right shape for a mouth and is easy to digest!!

Same event I was talking about. I just used a different one of Eva's opponents, Fate Avernicus, one of the people summoning the demon. He just took Eva a bit longer to beat, and we later got a pretty good reference on his level of ability.

But even without Eva, I just want to see Fate's reaction to Negi. I mean, we all know what she does to small, overpowered, orphan children she finds. (Hmm, that didn't quite come out right...)

And thats not even getting into the StrikerS cast's reaction to Chachamaru....

Le Chevalier D'eon / Doctor Who cross

the Doctor ends up fighting Poets in France instead of just clockwork soldiers.

Alucard survived an aicraft diving at Mach 3 into an aircraft carrier without a scratch (and slowed the plane he was in down enough that it didnt insta-gib the carrier), and then dragged the aircraft carrier from several miles out at sea and into one of the major rivers running though London.

He never entered the water. In fact, he made sure to stand his ground when fighting Rip Van Winkle, rather then get pushed back into the water. The exact line was "Fall. Fall. Fall. Fall in. Und perish!"

But it is also implied that said Aircraft carrier was big enough to "shield" him FROM the running water effect.

Right; IE: He can't touch running water directly. Entering the sea would be quite dangerous for him.

We're starting to take this thread a bit off topic. I'd be more then willing to continue this line of discourse if you would be so kind as to start a thread in the appropriate area of the forums.

Here's an open-ended one - things in Negima often trace back to Negi's father, the legendary Thousand Master. How much is said about Negi's mother? I can't think of anything. How about some crossover stories where Negi's mother is a magical girl from some genre, who for some reason (intentional or not) is not a part of Negi's childhood, and tries to be a part of his life after he becomes a teacher?

.... That is pure genius. 100% pure genius. It might also explain why he has a Japanese sounding name. (Cause I don't think Negi is a normal english name. Could be wrong though.)

So.... Who would you put on the list as a candidate. Furthermore, will Negi's conception involve dramatic amounts of booze and or some terribly miscast magic....

.... If this wasn't the crossover thread, I'd say Evangel would be a good fit.
