You blew it. You didn't file the serial numbers off the first picture's filename.

As you've figured out, yes it was Psychic Academy. Apparently (according to wikipedia) some episodes were released with the English version of the manga.
Suprising to see that screenshot of the teacher on a website, since I took the one I posted myself.
I don't know what the most recent is, but i'm pretty sure it's not Da Capo or Da Capo second season...

I knew those Newtypes would come in handy someday.

I'm not sure how hard/easy this one will be.....but it's one of my fave anime....

I first saw it in an older Newtype, and was intrigued.
Bought the DVD's, and haven't regretted it.
As for your question, I know the anime is loosely based on them, and that the games themselves are/were very popular, but other than that, not much else.....

The anime is generally considered dozens of times worse than the games themselves were. Try the manga, which is truer to the games - you'll never want to go back.
