He could do it. Not much conflict in styles from what I'm seeing on a quick search. Here's hoping the Studio approaches him.

What about writers? Who should write the script?

That is a question hard to answer without knowing what kind of plot they are going for. I really hope they avoid trying to Reinvent (From first irradiation) Godzilla again.

How should Godzilla be portrayed then? I think they should just allow his origin to be vague, no clear explanation needed. That and he still should be indestructible.

The US Zilla was taken down way too easily on that bridge. But there's no need to address the origin again. Its already been done and redone to the point where doing it again nearly promises the movie is destined to disappoint.

Well any origin is bound to backfire. What about actors? Which actors would you want in the film?

I always thought it would be fun to see Clint Eastwood and Robert De Niro have to deal with Godzilla. Cary Elwes, James Garner, and Robert Englund could all be great supporting actors to either of them. I really wouldn't want to see a cast full of nearly unknowns for the genre.

For some reason, these people come to mind.

Christopher Walken
Keiko Kitagawa
Samuel L. Jackson

Also, would a cameo from a veteran Godzilla movie do?

I can't really find it in the footage but going by the names in the credits there is one in the American Zilla movie. Its almost like it cannot be a true Godzilla movie without one. And sadly it is not the Man on the boat who says the name properly.

Could you imagine the intensity that could be brought in if Jack Nicholson were cast to be the commander of involved military troops trying to deal with the monster?

Really? Who is it?

And that would be cool to see. Actually, why not have Walken as some kind of monster expert for the new Godzilla film? He plays crazy characters so why not him as that kind of character?

I didn't memorize it. But I did go through all the TOHO credits with the old mans name just to make sure if it was or was not him. And someone pointed to a cast list that didn't have character names attached showing one that was in allot of the TOHO lists. But I just can't work out who that person is. Or remember the name off hand any more. I kinda gave up trying last year.

Oh. I do know other veterans of previous Godzilla films were baffled by the 1998 shitfest. They knew it wasn't Godzilla and owed moe to Jurassic Park.

The only things it owed to Jurassic Park was its popularity grab making that promo where the Zilla stomps a Rex skeleton.

They made the darn things #1 publicized weapon its feet and didn't even have it use its claws for anything other than digging! Even Jurassic Park didn't have their heads so far up their arses to ignore teeth tails and other aspects of their characters as weapons!

Be careful he'll step on you was a Meme at best for Godzilla but US Zilla that was somehow the most important thing about the easily killed pathetic attempt at recreating the legacy.

Edit: Hell the later Jurassic Park movie that came out after it had a guy get stuck to the bottom of a Rex Foot as a stab at it to show that their Rex's were just as dangerous about stepping hazards as US Zilla was publicized to be at his worst. And they weren't too darn tall to get their claws and teeth into the action against Humans!

I should point out that the Baby Zillas in the 1998 shitfest were a rip-off of the Raptors from Jurassic Park.

Regardless, let's hope they won't make that mistake again. But here's another question, should he be solo again or should he fight another monster while destroying cities?

More damages and less emphasis on the humans for the monsters if he has an opponent. Having an enemy effectively in his weight class could make things easier for allot of directors.
