Where do they have him show up? NYC ended up with them having to have him cross so many places it was painful. Especially when there is almost every kind of environment including islands with tall buildings between those islands and NYC along the way. They just wanted US Zilla to be a Worm in the Big Apple. Even burrowing like one.

So before you ask what he'd do ask where he'd be first and it might help you build a picture. Not much point putting him into NYC any more than dropping him in Olympia Washington. Unlike Japan those areas don't have coastal flows warming the area much so targeting him closer to the tropics. Say LA even though its not as built up or anywhere really in the southern half of USA. Mountains could be a fun environment to work with too. Just imagine someone overflying him because they couldn't pick him out from the outcroppings of the southern Rockie Mountains.

Take a page from the old Rampage Arcade game and have him all over the USA so long as there's a waterway big enough to accommodate him. Think about his scale in Tokyo and you end up with at least 6 rivers and other bodies of water more than acceptable without being stuck to coastal areas.

The way I see it, he should start out attacking Tokyo first then move on to destroying other countries. The thing is, it would make Godzilla more threatning if he was attacked worldwide. Other countries would think they're safe overseas but then when he shows up in another country, everyone is screwed.

Or he could be protecting the world from another nations home grown threat. Its not like Japan is the only place where monsters can spawn.

Wouldn't Earth be Godzilla's territory anyway? I can see him as a bad guy but still fights other monsters. I imagine he just doesn't like other monsters intruding on his turf.

But aside from Godzilla Vs Frankenstine (Altered to King Kong for some reason only God can intuit) or something like that I don't really remember him fighting other Earth nations monsters.

Well, it seems like he can handle any monster, from Earth or not like outer space.

Its just the franchise seems to have done almost everything possible to drum up protagonists. And one thing kinda rare remains the creation of monsters here on Earth that are strong enough to have a chance at fighting Godzilla.

Something that would be sad and kinda already got done in a Video Game was doing Godzilla from the 2000 movie and have him fight the US Zilla. Of course lacking a defined breath weapon and clearly vulnerable to allot of munitions Godzilla has shrugged off for decades its far from a fair fight.

The movie was originally King Kong Vs. Frankenstein but the guy who wrote the script couldn't find anyone interested in it until he came to Toho. When Toho bought the script they made it a Godzilla movie instead. Hence Godzilla Vs King Kong.

Actually, that happened in Godzilla: Final Wars.

And who should do the CGI effects?

Counter question. How much of it should be CGI? It isn't the realm of TOHO creations as much as it could be. So what should be CG and how much real performer work will go into it? Not just as a mocap but would they work out interactions with the environment using mockups? Even Lucas ILM gets into allot of that when they are trying to move the technology forward.

Eh, it was the shortest battle in the movie. Like, ten to fifteen seconds long. I guess it's a metaphor for how inferior Godzilla 2000 was (Godzilla just creams him), but, still, it wasn't that good a battle. Guy in rubber suit versus CGI zilla was also visually off.

Most of the movie was humans fighting other humans. Godzilla only appears halfway through, and even after most battles are still fought between the humans. I hope the new Godzilla movie isn't like that.
