Searching for a Ranma fic, but only recall a single scene

Like the title says, I'm trying to find a Ranma fanfic, but I can only recall one particular scene of it, not the overal story or the title. Said scene was a conversation between Cologne, Shampoo and a third party, who I think might have been either Kasumi or Nodoka. It had Cologne mention that wisdom can come from many places (I can't recall whether this was in response to a compliment on her wisdom by the third party or her praise being sung by Shampoo in that regard), claiming that Shampoo herself once told her one of the wisest things Cologne ever heard, then going on to explain what that was when Shampoo asks in curiosity what she said. Said "wisdom" is an anecdote of an embarrassing incident from Shampoo's youth, where she got into an aunt's spice garden and ate several peppers and, when Cologne confronted her, basically told her not to eat the little (dual coloured) peppers.

So, does this ring any bells in anyone else's mind? Can anyone tell me what story I'm thinking of?

I remember reading the very same fic, though I also cant remember the title or overarching storyline... Damn... one of the problems with reading a ton of different fics...
For some reason, I want to say that the third party is Nodoka and Ranma is in the hospital for some reason... don't know for sure about that though.

Easy...

The answer is two different versions of the same story by the same author. The original was called 'Love of a Cheetah', the revised version is called 'Battlemage'... both are by Ryan Slicer and both are still on FanFiction.NET.

In both versions I have downloaded... the scene is in chapter 3.

EDIT: oh... and it was Nabiki as the 3rd party.
