From what little I remember, I might not like A New Awakening as I once did, in part because I think there were mental changes that went along with it? I can't remember, exactly. Just bits and pieces.

I think I read some of Featherbrite's Tale, but never finished it (even though it was complete, at the time?). I remember reading a summary that made it sound like Ryoga was the protagonist, which may or may not have been the case. But, I suppose the proper question to bring up, just so I know, is whether Ranma-chan has a significant role or not, in the story. Because I could have sworn that that was the reason for why I wanted to read it, all of those years ago.

In Featherbrite's Tale Ranma's cursed form is a sorta half fairy. That said he still has his male form but enjoys some of the abilities his female form gives him. So not a pure "-chan" work really but still more female form then normal.

But far older than the 6 year limit... I can think of a bunch that fall into your requirements but are older than 6 years. For example.

RANMA 'Saotome's Choice' by JP Buckner - [Dld Date=11/20/2002] - [Dld Size=525kb] - [Dld Files=7] - [Status=Inactive]

I know that it's older then the 6 year time limit but she mentioned good fics with Ranma as a fae so those two popped to mind along with the Dark Webmistress of this sites one fic but that was already mentioned :P.

Well, like I said in my opening post, stories older than six years are fine, too. I know I've read a lot of stories that focused on Ranma-chan, that are older, but I know the likelihood of missing some. And there are also stories that were still ongoing when I dropped fanfiction, and I wouldn't count on myself to remember many of them. So, if you think one of the older stories is worth recommending, recommend it.

Coincidentally, and I forgot why, but I recently read Saotome's Choice. No, wait, I think I remember... It was recently recommended in another Fic Search, and my interest for reading fanfiction again was coming back. Stupid memory. ;/

As an aside, I'll have to write a story where Ranma becomes a faery, to add to what few have been written thus far.

Oh, and again, thanks for all of these recommendations and sources. I really appreciate it. It's even helped me to start writing, again. Slowly but surely, anyway.

Redheads is really hard to find these days. I found it on an archive about a month ago, but I can't remember where. I know the link on PFRI wasn't working 2 weeks ago and it isn't on either Kenko's site or his FF.net page. That's one story that I really wish was longer, good R/Slayers crosses are hard to find.

And I was definitely thinking of Shadow Veiled Senshi, though it too stopped before it really got started.

I found another website with Redheads on it:

Hope this helps.

That doesn't look to be Redheads - it seems to be an MST version of Redheads. Fortunately, I have the story as far as it goes. Wish there were more; Kenko is a really good writer.

I goofed!!

I noticed that right after I posted . . But I found this one:

http://jusenkyo.wikia.com/wiki/Redheads

Which purported includes Chapter four, and includes the Archive.org links to the stories on Lady Cosmos's site and Drakhensis's copy of it. THey also show a Revised Chapter 3 . . .

I'm gonna grab it while I can.

I agree, Kenko has probably come closer to Canon than anyone else I've read so far. Girl Days could've been the continuation of the anime with no one the wiser . . .
