Looking for The Clan...

It seems that furinkan.net is gone now, so I was wondering if anyone had seen a fic by Chris Jones called "The Clan"

I think he also authored "NewRanma" and "Ranma's Apartment"

Any details on where "The Clan" or his other works could be found will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Q

...how much effort did you put into looking? It took me like a whole minute to find Chris Jones' ff.net page by googling "newRanma".

As for The Clan... Furinkan.net is still very much in business. I just checked.

It does end up at a funky address, but going to http://furinkan.net gets you there.

For me it goes to one of those sites offering to register the URL for you.

Ah! You're right. I saw the links looking valid, and didn't follow any of them. That means that I can't find The Clan, as it was probably just in his furinkan.net site. We will have to wait until he puts it up in ff.net or creates a new site.

New site

He has a new site up:
http://www.spacepiratehamster.net/display.php
but while he has a page for The Clan he does not have the story posted yet. I have no idea how fast he is reposting his stories.

It was a little hard to find in all the mess that the archive made of his site but you can find it here

Since I found spacepiratehamster down as well, I figured it would be good to post this link.

That's even better. I'll enjoy reading it again even though it is unfinished...

Erm. Hope I don't get in trouble for thread necromancy...

http://www.spacepiratehamster.net/display.php dosen't work, and I'm after his stories. Anyone know where his new page is? (or for that matter, if he still has one?)

I can't actually find a new site. I think your going to have to rely on the wayback machine aka Internet Archive (a link to a copy of his sight from back in 03 is above. For stuff that has been posted more recently grab his web address, www.furinkan.net/, and chuck it into the wayback machine www.archive.org. That will give you a huge list of times the sight has been backed up. Be warned that some backups don't have particular files and sometimes have the entire sight down. You WILL have to look around a bit but nearly everything should be in there somewhere.

If there IS a new site and anybody knows where it is I would appreciate getting a heads up to;)

Hmmm... many are still available by the old FanFiction.NET Personal Profile Page listed previously in this thread.

As for 'The Clan', never read that one myself, but it took 2 minutes by using Internet Archive...

If you are not familiar with it, it is important to note, if one copy does not have it, try others in the system. If no copies have it, you are out of luck. I checked the copy in the link, it had all the ones I checked at random, but I did not pull up every chapter, only about 8 at random.

As a note on content, the page is an author archive page, not a direct link, so any possible adult material is not shown. And it has it's own disclaimer on that link. I'll remove the link if told by anyone to do so though.
