Temple of Ranma's Sailor Senshi Seifuku

For manga/anime like Ranma and Naruto, it's not unusual to see fanfics that have them as superpowered versions of what we see in canon. However, it's not something that I've seen in stand-alone Sailor Moon fanfiction.

So does anyone know of any SM fanfiction where Usagi basically has a slight personality shift that results in her cranking up the powerscale? Preferably ones that involve her manually doing this, rather than stories where it's just the default.

There is one older fic that I think might fit that bill called "Sailor Moon Universal"

It starts as one of the tired plot devices of Usagi finds Sailor Sol, but it is done very well. Only other thing I will say as this fic is a time killer. It's good, and it's long so don't start it if you know you have to rush out the door any time soon.

The other thing I would say for powerful Senshi, is go watch PGSM if you haven't already. I know it seems cheesy like the girls sentai, but the twist they put on the princess and her powers is 'interesting'.

I must note that the manga SM is already overpowered . Any attempt to increase her might further would result in a Sayajin (the super version).

It's a good story but rather long. I can't remember how far I got before I didn't have time to read it anymore. Usagi is the third child of Guku and Chi Chi, and this replaces GT.

I was about to say, Usagi already is one of, if not the, most powerful beings in the SM universe. So, by super powerpowerful Sailor Moon, could it be safe to assume you mean a skilled/compitant fighter version?

If so, the only two that imediatly come to mind would be

Sailor Twins by Pyeknu(aka Fred Harriot)

I admit that my knowledge of SM is somewhat limited. I haven't read the manga, and have only seen maybe 30-40 episodes of the anime.

In retrospect, maybe super-powered was quite the phrase that best suits what I was looking for. A good example of what I'm really interested in would be something akin to Innortal's When Angel's Fall. More of a competent, no-nonsense kick-ass and don't care about the names Usagi. After all, you can only read so many fanfics that have her spending most of her time crying and tripping over her own feet before you want a change of pace.

During the fight with Galaxia Usagi uses the Ginzuisho the same way she did at the end of the first season, and ends up fourteen again. It should fit the 'More of a competent, no-nonsense kick-ass and don't care about the names Usagi' that you want, since she is mentally two years older and knows how to fight.

Is there really that much of a massive gap between the anime and the manga?

Yes. There is. It's incredibly massive. The Anime is a Campy, fun for all ages sort of version.

The Manga on the other hand is serious.

Tuxedo Mask in the Anime? he throws roses. In the Manga? He never throws a rose. Instead he stabs people with his cane, Heals people with his touch, is precognisant, King of the dream land Elysian, and he throws bombs. Yes. His Special attack in the Manga is La Tuxedo Smoking Bomber. Which is basically a magical version of Happosai's Happodaikarin.

That's only one of a few changes. Setsuna's also radically different. and everyone dies in the Manga, sometimes multiple times.

It's not a gap, it's an abyss. The kind where you can't see the other side.

Anime is a completely different work borrowing from manga its character design (but not personalities) and some plot details.

Honestly! an "Akane-bashing" sort of fic has more in common with the Ranma manga than the SM anime has with the manga it is named after.

P.S. I must admit, I like the anime version *more*. Because it's silly and funny.

As for super powered Usagi... Gunslinger Moon comes to mind...
