Would Lara Bartram/Mike Loader's "A Faint Hope" count? (http://www.thekeep.org/~lara/big/afh.html ) Ranma characters, in events running somewhat parallel to the events of Episode IV.

(...then again, there ARE a handful of Star Wars 'remakes' with the Ranma characters...)

Personally... I liked the non-director cut version slightly more, since it had Battlestar Galactica in the last chapter, not rogue Jurians.
