Well, they would have to like fukufics enough to read them, and be able to read the ones being reviewed from start to finish. Personally, there were two finished fukufics which I started reading but couldn't finish, though I'd be willing to if I had to review them.

Ideally, I'd prefer the points being reviewed to be more technical than a matter of opinion. For instance, how well the story can keep a reader's interest, since there are technical ways that can effect that both negatively and positively. There's also the logic and consistency outside of humor, where things need to make sense (usually in an effort to make something believable).

So, more reviewing the technical stuff.

Sure.

Like in character ness?

Well, technically, fan-fiction characters are innately OOC. And plenty of people are willing to accept at least some OOC. I probably wouldn't want it rated in a review, but something that goes along with the synopsis and other such details, as more of a note. Besides, the context of the stories can make it a rather a complicated matter, making it too easy for arguments, so I'd want to avoid reviewing it for that reason as well.

Well, yeah. I meant like degree off of in character. Like Kevin Bacon.

But as long as the reviewers are varied.

But who? If it's people who write these fics, then it'll be biased towards their fics and such. If not those people, then who?

Maybe only rate the things that can be measured. Like grammar. Maybe.

Well, let me just give an example? One of my favorite ff writers, he hates what he writes, expressly never reads it once it´s been posted. And I know damn well most of my own shortfalls, i basically get my stories to the level they are by trying to keep the technical side good(because unfortunately i suck as a storyteller), no walls of text, no horrorstory grammar etc...

So biased, probably. But not automatically towards your own fics.

I guess...

So who? Should we vote for the voters?

People who don't want the job.

Oh, sure, so they can express their frustrations when they make the reviews. XD

Or we can have those who would review in the most entertaining way.

No, this needs to be taken seriously. Not too serious, but the only site that's explicitly dedicated to such a small niche shouldn't goof around about it, at least not as one of its primary functions.

This is known in science fiction fandom as sercon. Stands for serious, constructive. Most of the times it's been tried, it's blown up in everybody's faces. Been there; seen that.

Eh? I've seen what I'm envisioning work out just fine for various things. Or is something about the difference between a site like this and an actual business/organization?

There is a difference. A business wants people who are serious and constructive. But a site like this is for fun, for following our own paths. Sercon folks try to, um, help us do that. Their way. Sometimes it works; sometimes it's buzzkill.
