Came across this in a lemony HP one-shot:

“It’s just you and me now Tom,” he said happily “your Horcruxes are gone and I have the power you know not.”

“What power?” Voldemort demanded, trying to sound confident.

Just then they heard a falling whistle followed by a thump that raised a huge dust cloud and tumbled everybody present flat onto the ground.

When they had got back up and the dust cloud had settled, all they could see of Voldemort was a pair of shoes sticking from underneath a huge, oddly-shaped lump of metal.

“Caterpillar turbo diesel power.”

Since I’m talking Potterverse anyway… how about European wanded magic being dangerous to electronics because it is ‘noisier’ than other magics?

Has anyone tried pairing up a fem!Harry Potter with Ranma Saotome?

Was listening yesterday to ‘Alla marcia’ from Sibelius’s Karelia suite when “A Bunnier Alternative” sprung to mind. This combo led to an image of a cartoon Voldemort falling into a big machine with lots of blinkenlights and bouncenmeters that went squish-squash-squoosh-mash and, in the end, spat out a can of “Canned Voldemort”. Mind, I can’t think of any use for such a product, but there it is.

Haven´t seen it i think. But at least once someone have paired up a femlocked Ranma with HP.
And as horribly normal for pairing Ranma with males, it was pathetically BAD.

Of course, with hin being the WW’s boggart, a good Riddikulus might do.

Or… a lump of blue-green ice smelling of disinfectants could womp him into the ground.

A scary power he might well not know of would be hard radiation. I rather doubt wizards have any shielding that works against gamma rays or neutron beams.

Ultra-scary? A twenty-four-hour loop of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?”. Voldie and the Deeze would run through the Veil to escape that.

I have seen numerous fics where there are simple charms to prevent sunburn. If the stereotypical Final Battle happened at the height of summer, possibly Voldie AND all his Death Eaters would not even notice such a weapon had been fired at them. Yeek.

Has anyone tried pairing up a fem!Harry Potter with Ranma Saotome?

I ran into a femlocked Ranma with Harry Potter. Quite good, but I'm not on my usual computer so I can't dig up the name. Well after Voldemort, Harry is a professional hunter-of-evil-beings. Ranma, locked, is into solitude. Harry is in Europe (Eastern, I think) hunting vampires, and after the standard first meeting filled with peculiar misunderstandings and disbeliefs, they agree to swap training in magic and martial arts. Harry has a daughter, but no (longer) a wife.

That would be “What’s in a Name?” by Muishiki. I liked it, but had a difficult-to-quantify impression that it could have been even better. I still can’t figure out how, or just why I feel that way.

Meh. Much more fun to just tell the magicals they have no defences against them; their shields won’t work because gamma rays are both energy and matter yet neither, so none of their shields can possibly stop them; that the only things in the world that are harder to shield against are neutrinos. No need to tell them that neutrinos are Mostly Harmless.

Might want to add that those that can shield against them are also the ones that don’t need to.

I had kind of a crackish idea for an HP and Ranma crossover. Basically, the Weasley family sometime pre-PoA go to Tokyo for a vacation somehow. While out sightseeing Ron and Scabbers run across Azusa Shiratori, who kidnaps Scabbers, dubbing him "Pierre." Ron is initially glad to get Scabbers out of his hair, and ends up explaining the situation to Akane of all people, and as they talk Ron realizes how nice is it to have a pet you can talk to and vent to, something Akane can relate to as she has P-Chan. Eventually, Ron and Akane end up teaming up to get Scabbers back from Azusa, sneaking in to her mansion to do so. After some near-miss situations, they manage to rescue Scabbers from Azusa, and the Weasley's vacation in Japan comes to an end. Ron and Akane bid each other farewell, with both P-Chan and Scabbers hating each other, each suspecting the other animal.

Scabbers and P-chan are all very well, but to complete the set, you need Shampoo-neko.
