Anyone else annoyed with this?

The Global Link has updated with an notice regarding the Pokémon Global Link. First, the Global Link will open up for a special X & Y version on October 12th 2013, after a 12 day long maintenance from the start of October. However, from October 12th 2013, various Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 features will go offline.
Putting a Pokémon to sleep will go offline on December 10th 2013.
The trial version of the Dream World will go offline on October 12th 2013, as will new user registration.
The GTS tracking for Gen V ends on January 14th 2014 and Rating Mode on Random Matchup goes offline on January 14th 2014.
The ability to do WiFi Memory Link in Black 2 & White 2 also goes offline on January 14th 2014.
C-Gear, Musical and Pokédex Skin changing deactivates on January 14th.
Waking up your Pokémon to get items and Pokémon also deactivates on January 14th. You will be able to wake your Pokémon up from the game side at any time, but the ability to do so from the Global Link deactivates on January 14th
However, using the GTS in the games, Free Rating in the Random Matchup and all the other in-game online features will continue. It's currently unclear what features the new Global Link will have but when we have these details, they'll be posted

I know fewer people are playing the older games but to just end it irks me. Yeah I don't spend as much time on the Dream World as I used to but I still go back every once in a while. What was the point of spending that time growing all those berries? I'd much rather have the in game hidden bases if something like this will expire as soon as the next game comes out.

Sorry for the double post. You can only send 20 of a berry over at a time. If you have a lot make sure to plan how long it will take to send them to your game.

Stuff concerning how many Pokemon you meet in the Dream World that end up back in the main games, and such. Since you can only bring back one per visit, not counting events, and there's no realistic way I could visit every day... yeah.

Okay I'm down to three pages of Berries in my Black Game. The other two I'm done emptying. I'm just trying to get the last fifty pokemon for my White 2. If it's set up to let people take eight Pokemon home at a time why don't they let us? The most I've ever down is two when I got an event Pokemon.

Haven't a clue. I can't help you there.

I don't know if I'm really going to empty out all of the berries I have stashed away in the Dream World. I'm happy just being able to grab at least 15-20 of everything that's stocked. My character's already loaded up on cash, so it's not like I'll be needing to sell them off anytime soon.

You never know when you might need those berries. Now, if you could transfer them to X/Y... which, unfortunately, can't be done (not even the rare berries), but you'd expect that across generations. Hopefully, without the Dream World, they'll let you grow berries in-game again.

What bothers me about the Dream World/5th-gen PGL closing is that you get to lose all those C-Gear/Pokedex skins and Musicals you went to all that 'trouble' to unlock. :/ Why Game Freak didn't leave an in-game option to switch between the skins you unlock (the images are in the game; you just can't change them without the online interface or an AR. Probably the Musicals, too).

Well on last night I finally beat White 2. My battery was dying but I thought I could beat the elite four before it gave out. Guess when it finally gave out...right when I got the message not to turn the power off while it was saving. Fortunately my last save point was at the champion so it was just one fight to beat the game again.

I picked up my copy of Y today, but I probably won't start it for a while - I'm still on Victory Road in White 2.

I'll be playing X later this evening. I'll need to let my system charge and get it set up first.

Interesting note is that the clerk at GameStop today had a major head start; seems she'd already gotten her first few badges by the time I'd gotten there.

I picked up my copy of Y today, but I probably won't start it for a while - I'm still on Victory Road in White 2.
