Where did the fanon of Luna curing fear of cats come from?

Apparently I learned that the Luna does not cure Usagi's brother of his fear of cats in the anime. In fact, the episode wasn't even realized in English!

So... HOW did this fannon this get so bad that this happens in Ranma fanfic crosses so often?

It's a lie someone made up! A lie! A LIE! it's not even like the Pluto thing where people have to guess due to mystery, this didn't even need to happen. At all. Ever. But something made it happen.

HOW? WHY? Is it a mistranslation fansub? But that still doesn't make sense since it doesn't change the visuals.

I'm just so angry about it... ARGGGG!

It´s taking Luna´s ability to "interact" with people´s "minds" directly to the next level...
Extrapolating from her ability to do one thing that she might be able to do something else as well since it would in theory be similar.

IIRC it´s that she gets Usagi to recall some memories or something that it´s based on. To long so i may misrecall exact event though...

We know the senshi have mind control though... Chibi Usa used it on Usagis parents...

True. And it was effectively used on all the Senshi in their little reset of the world. Really all Luna did to get their memories back was unblock what Usagi's magic blocked.

Why should she? It would only have been an additional problem if he had wanted to get time to cuddle Luna.
And he doesn´t know what she is, so there would be need for playing with his memories afterwards, and to come up with a reason why it just happened out of the blue that he´s no longer afraid.

I would call it strange if she had tried anything even if i knew she could do it.
