And by "all the seasons", that includes Stars. Those in the US will also be able to stream at Hulu starting the 19th of May.

Well that's another sign of the apocalypse down.

Still, yay! :D

I know. But if the re-release is supposed to be some kind of appetizer, it'd be like eating something really sour or really hot. Y'know, to dull the taste buds.

Well, to me, at least. :P

I watched the first two (looks and sounds nice), but I'm saving the other two for later this week. They'll be a treat. :D

Ep. 2 had finally reached my quiet file-sharing network.
There are notably little differences from the manga, it's mostly expanding where there is too little material

1. The scene where "Kuri-chan" ignores the three friends with a dead look and walks away mumbling around studying. It was originally in the locker room, and Usagi then was wearing her P.E. uniform as she ran to the computer lab to talk to Ami.
This was changed to a class and her regular school uniform in the anime.

2. In the manga, after the encounter with Mamoru, Usagi went back to the school to check the crystal disk in the computer lab. She then discovered the truth by hitting the machine repeatedly.
In the anime, she owns a laptop (a pink one with a bunny on the cover), so she did this at home and by randomly pressing keys.

3. The fight was changed in several ways
a. When Usagi runs into the room in her doctor guise, there are other students beside Ami. Usagi yells them to leave. In the anime, the room is empty except Ami and the youma teacher.
b. The sharpness of the papers was shown not with several shallow bleeding cuts on SM but with the papers slicing up a cubicle (did I use the word right?)
c. In the manga, SM is never restrained by the paper. The youma threatens to cut down not SM but Ami, holding her in a stranglehold. Ami's power then flares throwing the youma off of her and filling the room with fog. We never actually see her transform, as the focus shifts to Sailor Moon and later we see Mercury already transformed.
In the anime she performs a "Mercury Aqua Mist" attack.
d. In the manga, Tuxedo Mask grabs SM under her arms allowing her to perform a very high kick to throw the youma away. In the anime he just performs a daring rescue.

P.S. Also it's a weird mix of modern technology and a complete lack of cell phones in the series.

P.P.S. Usagi's laptop runs Windows 7.

Episode 3:
There's one important divergence:
In the manga, Rei burns Jadeite to death. Laner, Nephrite is seen standing over his dessicated corpse in a glass coffin, promising to revive him when they find the silver crystal.
In the anime, jadeite is pretty much alive.

Episode 4:

1.
A scene is added where all 4 generals appear on a rooftop, offer their names, tell the Senshi "Try to stop us", then vanish.
There is nothing like that in the manga (and Jadeite is dead).

2.
The manga:
- Usagi feels thirsty
- Usagi grabs some cocktail (?) and is instantly inebriated (from one glass? Or did she drink several?)
- A bushing, hiccuping Usagi stumbles into Tuxedo Kamen (because she is obviously unable to walk straight)
- He blushes, then picks her up bridal style, carries her to some deserted balcony, and begins kissing her.
- Luna calls him on it.
Now, maybe from their point of view that's romantic, but the parallels with a date rape... :?

The anime:
- Usagi feels sleepy
- Luna berates her
(a couple other scenes got shuffled in here).
- Usagi is seen sleeping on a deserted balcony
- Tuxedo Kamen finds her and begins kissing her.
- Luna calls him on it.

I wonder if Jadeite still being alive will mean that the generals will be saved in this version... Considering some of the things intimated in the manga.

I'm liking what they've done with Rei's character so far.

I thought the appearance of all of the generals was stupid and pointless. They had no good reason to reveal themselves like that, and they made a threat that they could have carried out right then. I guess they're masochists who hope they'll be outnumbered one day so it'll be harder to pretend that they like the idea of being killed.

I also like that Mamoru is a lot like the manga version.
