Yes, I do like radios, old and new, but don't really collect.Mainly, I like listening to radio, with a tiny bit of DXing on the side. I heard New Zealand on SW (41m, IIRC) earlier this spring on a SuperTech SR-16HN portable. That, like the Realistic DX-440, is a badge-engineered Sangean ATS-803A.
I can do some MW band (your AM band) and LW band listening at home, but I have to go portable for most of it and about all of the SW listening. I also get an occasional bit of 90MHz skip coming in from Scandinavia, UK, France and Germany. Worth trying out if you have a spare FM radio.
Edit 1: A few hours after writing this post, I began receiving long-lasting skip from the Baltic throughout the FM broadcast band.
Edit 2: It became a long and intense Sporadic-E event (or two parallel events) with Swedish, Finnish, English and Dutch stations crowding the band. Oh, and a lone Norwegian local station, too.
