Ormurin Langi“ is a Faeroese folk ballad that was rocked up by the rock band Týr in 2002. As I recall, the CD sold in good numbers in Iceland.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhiOYIYUlcE has the lyrics subbed in Spanish.
"Rolling Thunder? Isn't that a rumble of bikers escorting a fallen cop or soldier on their last journey?"

Té Rowan - For that first one of Cotton Eye Joe, I always liked the Rednex version.

There is something supremely funny and ironic about a modern Swedish band pretending to be a old style U.S. Civil War era Kentucky Bluegrass hillbilly style band...

Rednex - Cotton Eye JoeRednex - Old Pop in an OakRednex - Wish You Were Here
Also, came across the following AMV this morning on AMV.ORG... but since most here prefer YouTube Videos...

HSOTD 'HighSchool of the Dead: Thriller 2014' by ClaudiusValentine

EDIT1: Had to adjust my old links, since all were dead since last checked...

EDIT2: As for Violinists... my brother introduced me to this one a while back...

Lindsey Stirling - Master of TidesLindsey Stirling - Moon TranceLindsey Stirling - Shatter MeLindsey Stirling - Stars Align
There is also the following violin centric AMV I liked:

Nice, very nice both of you. Actually have both some Vanessa Mae and Lindsey vids already on the HDD.

I second the Logical song one... a good one.

Here is a different variation that makes one wonder what drugs the class was on:

Athena Reich - The Logical Song (The Official Music Video)

This one was not too bad:

Eden xo - Too Cool To Dance

How about some 80's type retro (category was known as Light Rock back then, and what I still think of it as)... lets see, some of my favorites from that era included, Belinda Carlisle, Debbi Gibson, Laura Brannigan, and Tiffany

Belinda Carlisle - Fool For LoveBelinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On EarthBelinda Carlisle - I Feel the MagicBelinda Carlisle - In My Wildest DreamsBelinda Carlisle - Leave A Light OnBelinda Carlisle - Little Black BookBelinda Carlisle - Mad About YouBelinda Carlisle - Our Lips Are SealedBelinda Carlisle - Summer RainBelinda Carlisle - We Got The BeatBelinda Carlisle - World of Love

I rather prefer Umberto Tozzi’s take on Gloria:

Some songs in Danish:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lbfuYHZsHU — Bent Werther sings »Den gamle tomme stald« (known in the US as “Bridle Hanging On The Wall” or owt like that).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhwuLNwHjdA — »VLTJ« by the group Tørfisk. It’s about a railway line now known as Vestbanen, previously as the Vemb-Lemvig-Thyborøn Jernbane.

I get depressed easily. It doesn't take much to get me crying, to get myself wondering whether life is all it's cracked up to be. As I type this, the tears are falling and the area around my eyes are red. By all rights, I shouldn't be listening to this. I should be unplugging my headphones, closing the browser, and retreating as far away as I can.

...

...So why can't I stop?

Listened to several songs since the last one in an effort to crowd the sadness and shove it out of my brain. Of course, since two of them were insane and cool, respectively, it was inevitable that they've been stuck on repeat in there for hours:

Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Theme of Deadpool. It helps put me in the right frame of mind for my current art project, anyway.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth - Pursuit ~ Lying Coldly
