Heh. I used the Tandberg quite often for FM DXing. Of course, in a mountainus landscape, the next fjord can count as DX. Anyway, I would tune the set to a normally-inaudible station and listen for meteor 'pings'. IIRC, I used a relay station on the south coast.

Incidenally, where I now live, I get reliable reception from three non-local sites: The two closest communities to the south-west, and the regional site. Not only that, but one of the local transmitters is so weak (and just outright sick, to boot), that I get a stronger signal from the Channel One regional.

An infamous parody:

Of course, there were folk that believed it to be true.

If you have the bandwidth, MP4 is even better than MP3!

IIRC, MP4/AAC gets a bit of that from trickology — some of the harmonics are dropped in the encoder and re-inserted in the player.

Now, if that isn't flubbing a WIS throw and getting a negative score:

Or, what happens when you don't tie down your 'liner overnight in windy weather.

I'm not sure you can get a low enough score to simulate that level of fail.
It's like rolling a natural 1 ten times in a row.

I don't know if this pic still exists here, but here is that spun-up-to-dizziness Sailor Moon:

Here is another pic of the grazing 747:

In other news, N366PX (the red Saab 340 above) is still flying, i believe, albeit with another airline and tailcode.
