I can kinda, sorta, maybe read Dutch. But my browser asked if it should translate, and it came out seemingly well, though some of the links in the upper right looked a bit dodgy.

Dat we steeds meer verslaafd zijn aan onze smartphones is inmiddels wel duidelijk. In Duitsland hebben ze smombie (smartphone zombie) vorig jaar zelfs tot woord van het jaar gekozen. De Duitse steden Augsburg en Keulen hebben de verkeerslichten ook gelijk maar in de grond geplaatst. De smombies zijn daar namelijk een gevaar in het verkeer omdat ze continu naar beneden lopen te staren op hun smartphone.

The german cities of Augsburg and Cologne have als placed the traffic lights in the ground. The smombies are a public menace because they're always looking down at their smartphones.

Personally I don't think I'm making eighty unlocks a day. My iPhone usually doesn't even get the time to actually timeout . #smombie.

As noticed, the Germans already have words for buried traffic lights: Bodenampeln or Bompeln.

And now I'm suddenly reminded of a Youtube clip of ducks obeying a traffic light.
