I presume you have already seen lists of named snowplows, gritters and other snow-clearing equipment. But... surely, someone somewhere must have suggested the name "The Grit-ful Spread".

He might have been better off claiming he was dreaming of being P-chan going bitey on Ranma-chan.

This UK magazine was published from beginning 1934 to September 1939. It was for listeners, publishing articles about radio personalities, as well as programme listings from varions radio stations. Now why do I suddenly have visions of today's French erecting radio transmitters along their north coast to beam 'propaganda' programmes (things like price comparisons) into the UK?

Hoary-old-fic-time:

http://archiveofourown.org/works/36304597 — "Wish Upon A Variable Star", a R/SM crossover collab; stalled at nineteen chapters.

Seems that everyone has either more than one gender identity, or a gender identity crisis.

https://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/a#a267 — Victor Appleton stories.

"I'm going to ice you," he said chillingly.

You have probably heard/seen of sentences like the one above referred to as tom-swifties. Anyway, the link at the top should net you quite a few tom-swifties, if only indirectly. Victor Appleton is the collected authors that wrote the Tom Swift stories (and a fair few others).

If there ever was a subject on which everyone has at least three opinions, this must be it.

To paraphrase the author: "High fidelity is whatever you decide is high fidelity." Sounds like the Monks of Cool: It's cool because I say it's cool.

And that leads to the eternal question: "How High The Fidelity", from Spike Jones's "Dinner Music For People Who Aren't Very Hungry".
