This is actually the only forum I can think of I'm a part of.

My attention is largely split between drawing, working, reading manga, watching anime, playing games, Discord, Youtube, and randomly browsing the internet.

The only reason I know of SpaceBattles is because of Admiral Tigerclaw frequenting that forum... And that's mostly due to his story 'Sleeping With The Girls'...

While that story got completed, it's follow up companion has been on hiatus for a long time now... Last update in 2017...

I know I'm due for a new laptop sometime down the line. I'm really not sure if I'm going to end up replacing the current Desktop Computer I'm using right now or not.

Ended up being just a little over $1,500, and a nice upgrade from my previous one. It's crazy how much quicker an SSD is.

I replaced the boot HD in what was originally a Vista OEM tower a handful of months ago, with a Sandisk SSD, and have it booting to a Linux setup. I don't know if it's running faster, really - never timed it - but at least now the fans aren't running all the time, so it's quieter and cooler. ^_^;;;

No kidding. I had this massive video file---a VOD from someone's Twitch channel---that took twice as long to load after I transferred it from my SSD drive to a traditional hard drive. ()^_^

My old computer took over a minute to boot up.

This new one takes 10 seconds @_@

I've gotten spoiled on the Infinite Defense's upgrades. The computers at my apartments take about one second, max.

I rarely turn off my computer. Is that a bad thing?

Generally speaking, no. Not unless you're worried about higher electric bills. Or the computer's improperly ventilated, or in a room that's too warm, that sort of thing. You could probably get away with leaving it running, and just putting it in sleep/hibernate mode when you're not using it. If it's a desktop PC, you might need to clean the fan periodically.
