I might put Mahoujin Guru Guru on the backburner for a while. Learned that it's first and second series only cover volumes 1 to 11 in a 16 part manga, and don't feel like watching something that doesn't have a finish.

Whelp, Kill la Kill has ended. Kinda wish there were more episodes, but 24 episodes is a good enough amount.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what's that supposed to be about?

From TV tropes...
Ryuko Matoi is a New Transfer Student at Honnouji Academy, a high school ruled with an iron fist by president Satsuki Kiryuin and her Absurdly Powerful Student Council. Satsuki maintains absolute control over the school using Goku Uniforms, which grant supernatural strength to their wearer and are distributed only to her most loyal students.

When Ryuko shows up in search of her father's murderer, she immediately suspects that Satsuki knows something and declares war on her. With the aid of a sentient uniform called Senketsu and a red half-scissor blade that can destroy Goku Uniforms, Ryuko fights to avenge her father and save Honnouji Academy in the process.

The series is made by Trigger, which is made up of ex-Studio Gainax and Studio 4°C members, and the production's director, writer, and lead character designer also worked together on Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. As such, it's a series with a basis on crazy off the wall action, weird and strange characters, etc.

Also, lots and lots of near-nudity.

So in other words, something that deserves to be Quadrant-struck over and over until you could fit the remains in a K-Mart bag. Gotcha.

Except, you know, while there is lots of near nudity in the way of the main character's transformed outfit and various other characters, along with lots of ACTUAL nudity here and there as the series goes (Culminating with pretty much EVERYBODY naked for certain reasons come the final episode), it's not necessarily played up on fanservice except for some instances here and there in the beginning. The majority of the time, the nudity is just kind of 'there' and a 'matter of fact' kind of thing. It's largely an instance of the whole 'barbie doll anatomy' kind of thing for both the men and women. Kill la Kill is honestly a series where you can get beyond that stuff to enjoy the craziness.

Of course, the actual main villain DOES have rather uncomfortable instances of where she can get a little too... touchy-feely with certain people. However in the long run, the series is really great in the off the wall, bat-shit crazy stuff that happens.

Have some Mako Mankanshoku and the first scene you see in the series. Oh yeah, and the actual main villain

(For the record, I wasn't trying to imply that the series is bad because of that, or anything - I actually quite like the show. I just thought that aspect might be worth mentioning...)

If it were, wouldn't that mean that no one else would have to watch it?

Oh, I worry about a lot of things. I just prefer not to let people know about them.
