I will say I understand even less about the curse than I did before. The transformation are just so random. I don't even think your theory about Neko- subconsciously choosing these forms works. Especially given that it doesn't matter the temperature of the water he just transforms.
It's Himitsu, and Usagi did something... The first is just plain evil random, the latter is a ditz who will get what's coming to her once I get some semblance of normalcy going again.
