Evidently, Urusei Yatsura will have a new anime series, possibly a reboot with new actors? That makes me wonder if they would do the same for, say, Ranma at some point, despite most of the original casts for both series still theoretically being available to voice their roles (except for Ichiro Nagai (Cherry, Happosai), Hirotaka Suzuoki (Inaba, Tatewaki Kunou) and Hiromi Tsuru (Ukyou Kuonji), who have passed away).

The new series will reportedly feature Hiroshi Kamiya as Ataru, and Sumire Uesaka as Lum.

Not only that - it's also going to cover select stories from the series only instead of being a straight reboot.

Haven't heard anything on Ranma... But if they are going to go forward with that, there is still a bit of the manga that never made it to anime...

Prince Herb comes to mind right off. The Super Famicom game he showed up in was the only time he had an actual voice.

Huh. I thought I remembered Herb having a speaking role (or at least a cameo) in another game. I think the PSX game was the one that had Rouge and Ryu Kumon? I'm a little curious as to who did the voices for all three roles.
