yes, it makes more sense now.
So, in other words, the original empires of both universes were inefficient at magical bonding, and our Senshi are going to unlock the full potential of their one planet, which will equal the dark senshi's relatively less powerful tapping multiple planets?
Yes. that's a good way of condecing it. The moon Kingdom just was not around long enough to even have the chance of descoring their mistake. As for the Luna Empire? I'll have to think more on it, but for now I'll just go with, they were under a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" mentality when looking for ways to increse their Senshi's powers.

As for not asking about dark Saturn, I was thinking it would she would be incuded/go Benedict Arnold the same way as D-Pluto, along with normal Hotaru's influence, as you stated. I asked about DP because she's the major traitor/convert in this fic.
Now, you wrote that DP gets attracted to Ranma...out of curiousity, why?
Obviously, there are physical aspects, but coming from a dark realm, I would think that darker character traits would be more appealing to such a dark universe, and Ranma's usually, while not a ray of sunshine, a good person.
Well that's sn assumtion, and you know what they say aabout those. And I thought I alredy answered it with this
what I'm going for here is 'Am I trully happy with my life?" Ranma helps makes Dark Setsuna question her life. Ranma is not the only one to do so, but is key.
Ranma makes Dark Setsuna question her life, and she relises that she is not happy with it. And while her desiced princess was a good lover and way to make her feel temperaraly good, Ranma just makes her feel good. So that is why Dark Setsuna fell in love with Ranma and decided to defect. It did not happen in the order of, "I love Ranma. Am I truly happy with my life" It happened in the oppisite order "Am I trully happy with my life as I now lead it? No. What would make me happy? Ranma, for I love her." That is how it happened. And even then, it took some time for her to after she amitts to herself to not being happy, and to herself to loving Ranma, to see she wants to defect as well.

But still, you're D Saturn is perpetually lonely because D Serenity doesn't let her associate with people outside of the D Senshi unless it's during a mission and limited to the bounds of the mission.
Hotaru is nearly as lonely, because while she is allowed to interact with anyone she chooses, few people outside the Senshi choose to interact with her any more than is absolutely necessary.
Both Saturns suffer from the same social problem, though they got the ploblem from different sources. Long before D Saturn chooses to defect, she'll have some serious thinking about why her double puts up with the bullies and hopes to make friends of people who ostracize her rather than just SGS their houses.
A key point may not be how Hotaru interacts with the world, but how she interacts with the other Senshi. D Saturn may very well be considered an attack dog to be kept on a leash until a planet needs blowing up, instead of a true colleague.
Actually Dark Hotaru was more like, if they don't want a reality they found, due to any reason, that was the only time she was sent out. It would take her a week or so, but nothing would be left alive in that reality. And as to Dark Hotaru herself, she is at the time she leaves to spy on Ranma, almost half insane due to lack of human contact, for she is kept so isilated for every one and the few that can talk to her, do not chose to.
Hotaru becomes Dark Hotaru's life line to becoming fully sane again, and aquers a VERY protective older sister. In fact most of Hotaru's old tormenters will now only be alive because when Dark Hotaru flies off the handle at them, Hotaru will plead for their lives. It will not make sence to Dark Hotaru at first though as to why Hotaru would do that.
And in all probibility, I think it will be Dark Hotaru, NOT Dark Setsuna that initatits the dual defection.

*double takes*
RATS?!?!
.....Damn that sucks.
Thaks for uderstanding that. In the past 96 hours, I think I've had less then 15 hours of sleep, and the most I sleept for was five hours at a time. In fact I just woke up from a three hour nap.
And yes having roof rats invading your house sucks, big time.
But what sucked even more was the fact that my exterminating company, one I've had for years, and am a very loyal custumer to, said they couldn't help me for three days. So I just caught the damn things my self. There were five of them. Ironicly enough, that's the same number of cats I own. And only two of the cats were even intrested in the Rats. The others could have cared less. And the two that were intersted, were just that. they just wanted to play witht he rats, not kill them. which I was thankful for, for I did catch them all humanly as possible. By slaming a bucket over them and then troughing them in a bag and then depsoiting them in the ally behind the house. No pphsical damage and probably just a days scare.
Bye for now. I will get to writing the first chapter soon I hope and then post it on C&C for your help.
