Conventions

Where stuff about fanfiction that doesn't fit into any other category goes. Try to make sure that new topics here actually couldn't actually go somewhere else.

Conventions

Anyone planning on going to anime conventions this year?
I am going to Anime North (its in Toronto Canada)

Well, in my contry, we dont HAVE anime conventions.
The closest we have is Amrageddon, a Anime/manga/commics/games expo. And i'll be at the wrong end of the contry for all of them :<

I'll be going to Megacon next weekend. Should be fun... it's my reward to myself for a week of tests.

I'll be at Anime North ... or a great many people will be annoyed at me.

I might go to Anime Evolution this year. I haven't really decided if I'll go, yet.

No anime conventions in my country. After all, it would be stupid organizing one in a country with only 470,000 inhabitants. Still I can always go to Germany or France for conventions.
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Minamicon in march. Really looking forward to it too, since the last time I went it was one of the best weekends I've ever had.

There will be some over here. Never went to one, and I'm not really considering going to one.
Might be the idea in the back of ones mind that going to one is openly admitting you're completely rabid over anime :P
Seriously, I just don't see what the addition might be I'd get from it over not going. Then again, I should probably go to one to see if it's something for me or not...

SF cons in general often have animation rooms that feature anime. Here's a list of NZ cons.

AWA this year. I normally go to DragonCon but I figured I would try a different con this year, one more directed to anime than general fantasy. I love going to these conventions, it helps remind me that I am not the only sane person on the planet.

I load up on Dew and hit Fanime every year, but it isn't for a few months yet.
