Ranma IN a Mech series

Don't forget Escaflowné or any of the series with teams where their bots combine into a super robot. Those are technically Mecha too.

"Technically"...? They are mecha, nothing "technically" about it.

Mecha are defined as battle machines or technologically advanced vehicles that require an intelligent being to control them, either remotely or as an onboard pilot.

The term "mecha" is to differentiate them from robots, which are self-controlled and self-motivated and which do not need a pilot or operator to do their normal tasks after programming.

There are crossover machines which blur the line; Evangelions are self-aware cyborg robots that nonetheless require pilots (which the dummy plugs still count as), but are still classed as mecha because of that requirement of an onboard pilot.

Calling large humanoid mecha "giant robots" is popular culture, not an accurate description. They are almost always mecha.

I just end up feeling I can't leave it a flat statement because there are so many more live action combining multi bot shows. I know tossing technically in there made it less accurate. It's just something I felt the need to include.

It's Teknoman or Tekkaman Blade depending upon whether it's dubbed or the original. Hung's Tekkadread is an example of that, and he's also responsible for Gundam Warblade (Wing universe) and Ranmatech (super cyborg Ranma) for that matter. Along the same vein there's the old Guyver Ryouga which you'd probably need to tap the archives for and a few others like this one.

Hung deserves credit for actually having Ranma suffer consequences for use of the Blastor mode, even if as typical he cuts out a lot of the other consequences.

Ranma has been crossed over or fused with the game Battletech a few times, the best of which was The Saotome Gambit by Jamie and Bridgett Wilde. I'd post a link... but unfortunately, their site is gone and there are no complete versions of the story to be found. The biggest chunk I know of is here:

That repost by Shinji Ikari7 is unauthorized and only goes up to chapter 7 right now. At least he makes it very clear that it's not his, not authorized, and that it'll be pulled if anyone protests.

I know it's unauthorized and that he didn't write it. I'm not complaining though, and since it's still there, I guess no one else has so far either.
I really have no problem with it as long as he doesn't claim it as his own work, (which he doesn't) or unless the author protests, (and apparently hasn't, since it's still there.) It's not like anyone is making a profit on any fanfiction after all.

Even so, it is complete (I think.) Yes it's divided in only seven chapters outwardly, but as far as I can tell, he condensed all of the parts including the epilogues into those seven chapters.
