Hng. I´t really irritating when you´ve trying to get a new idea to continue some older fic (like me for both Fate of the Ancients and Silence of the Dragon/Wild Horse of the Dunedain) a new completely original idea pops up and begs to be written. A Ranma/Tintin/Indiana Jones Crossover, where Ranma takes the place of both Indy and Tintin (or at least Tintin, I might write Indy in it after all.)
The plot will be an odd amalgam of real history, The Last Crusade (Indy), and The Crab with the Golden Claws. Basically, Ranma gets dropped to Austria sometime soon after Anschluss (the German annexation of Austria), saves Indy´s dad (or helps Indy and dad save themselves) and gets mixed o the Grail quest as he figures out somehow that maybe the Grail will cure his curse and/or gets him back home. They´re also going after Professor Calculus who, being dr. Jones Senior´s colleague, has been kidnapped by several SS-paranormal division mystics who are, independently from the Indy canon Nazi group, after the Grail.
Ranma et al get several police departments after themselves (Orpo -The Ordnungspolizei or the traffic division, Kripo - The Kriminalpolizei and lastly - yay, or not - the Gestapo), get at least one SS officer pissed off enough to act Ryoga-like fashion and command a SS squad after them and finally Nazi-controlled Interpol sends two agents after them - Thomson and Thompson. Nazis seem to see them as competent fellows for some reason and they have absoute no idea that theyre working for the baddies.
The chase is on, from Austria to Berlin, to get "the Grail Diary", from there to Venice and accidentally on board of Caraboudjan which is heading to Morocco, after some mucking around they, along with captain Haddock head east to Egypt, which of course lead into a huge trouble as the SS follows the to british territory. From there they travel to Anatolia and to the conclusion of the adventure. I haven´t fleshed out later parts yet but naturally there´s going to be at least one all-vs-all fight as baddies duke it out for the prize.
Has this any potential or should I throw it to the mental trashbin?
