I must say i just keep finding it hilarious though when wheels just fall off, even without the car having crashed in any way.

Oh, 3:14 in 2nd clip, impressive to get up so neatly, on the roof! Hehehe...

And 5:08, looks like he´s saying "oh dear, isn´t the steering wheel supposed to be stuck to the car or something?".

I think i should probably be thankful my eldest brother never got into this kind of thing because, well at one point he had 3 Camaro´s, 3 motorcycles, and was considering buying a dune buggy or an oldstyle jeep heavily modified for extreme terrain driving (he and some friends used to borrow the nearest military terrain driving training ground for some fun driving with various more or less outrageous "cars")...

As long as it´s level ground, it´s amazing just how many tons you can push when it´s on rails.

I think i recall hearing my dad had to do something similar, a few times loooong ago, as when he started working on the railroads here, early on it meant a lot of going around in one of these:

Could’a been weirder… Schienen-Trabi. That was an East German draisine built with Trabant parts.

Hah, looks funny...

Some nice scenery in parts of those vids... A castle here, a neat bridge there, some pretty houses...

This line lies in Saxony (Sachsen), to the east and south of Leipzig.

My parents took me to the Pontiac Silverdome a number of times during the late 1980s and throughout the 90s. I don't remember anything about the events themselves, but there are other minor things I can recall:

I remember the main parking lot being so full that we had to settle for an auxiliary lot across the highway, and needing to cross a bridge to get there and back... Wandering the long, straight corridors on all three levels just for the sake of looking around... Passing through the revolving doors to enter... Looking across the field and seeing the lights on in the Club Level's Main Event restaurant... the advertisements for Big Boy restaurants all over the place (yeah yeah, me and food, I know)...

Seeing the video I have linked here brought all those things back to me: it's of a biker pedaling through and doing tricks around the abandoned Silverdome. While it shows the poor condition the facility is in now (the roof it was best known for is gone, amongst other things), I still can't help but think about how much I loved that building and how much I've missed going there, and that I'm never going to see the facility in person again.

Can’t remember if I have posted this before, but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unAsUugK9zw would likely be a suitable back-up power supply for many a Mad Scientist, plus it looks right damn impressive on its own.

BIIIIG... :P

Still, for a Mad Scientists(tm) power supply, i think a cluster of gas turbines is a better idea, redundancy and better efficiency.

OTOH, a Mad Scientist should have something that can go BOOOM, and steampowered power generation has the best efficiency and goes suitably BOOOM! on rare occasions.
Of course it also has the downside of taking some time to start running.

If they only need a small back-up unit… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eq6fMAkYZE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGZhWldNUQY (that one is mere 600hp)

Edit: Had to add this ultracool rhythm section: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiFhdULdT1c

:D

That´s certainly one way to do it!

This one reminded me of some crazy movie where someone used a pipe organ as a rocket launcher, throwing big explodies around...

Perfect for a MAD scientist perhaps, just a pity i couldn´t find any clip with it.
