And nary a moon rune in sight.

This is how I learned English: by reading a fanfic I wanted to read so badly I read it with a dictionary in hand and never gave up. Even though it was slow and painful.

Either a Squee or an Eep.

Why they calling it "creepy-cute" when it is just plain cute? :?

This is not worth a squee. Perhaps a squick or squall would fit better. Or maybe even a squeem.

Huh, i started learning English by watching stuff like the Onedin line on TV in late 70s/early 80s and getting parents or older brothers to read the subtitling.
Good way to learn to read by myself.
Slightly less good that i also tended to pick up the dialects.

At that price, only if they're bottomless and featherweight. I'd be a Ravenclaw, I think, and that means books.

Randoseru generally aren’t cheap, and this one is no exception, being priced at 110,000 yen (US$1,060). However, randoseru are customarily made with such high-quality materials and craftsmanship that the student can use the same bag for all six years of Japanese elementary school, and Q-pot’s made-in-Japan Harry Potter bag comes with a six-year guarantee.

Seriously? At that price, dear gods. My first backpack for school cost less than a tenth of that, even overadjusted for inflation, and still easily lasted 6 years. Would have lasted more if not for acidentally getting on the wrong end of something sharp and pointy that would have ruined pretty much any backpack that wasn't made like a strongbox.
